I am posting here with the hope of finding help and answers. I've already been to more than 14 naturopaths and nutritionists, all of whom left my case saying it was too complex. With any luck, fellow patients will have more answers than the practitioners did.
I recently had an ER visit because of a gallstone attack. In the weeks since, I've been struggling to get my liver healthy, and I'm searching for ideas.
My case is further complicated by the fact that I've exceedingly sensitive, and I have multiple
food allergies (most of the liver-repair diets I've seen were based on foods I cannot use) and I'm too sensitive to fully utilize supplements.
This is going to be a challenge to figure out, but I'm convinced there are things out there that could help me. I'd welcome the chance to do some brainstorming here and see what answers I can find with the help of the members here.
NOTE: I'll add some additional information here for those who want to pursue this with me.
I always had
food allergies , but they were managed well, until I had a brain trauma a little more than ten years ago.
That injury disrupted my entire system, and I went into full-blown leaky gut a few years later. I've been living on less than optimal nutrition ever since.
Complicating matters is the fact that I have a VERY limited tolerance for plant nutrition (I can't handle veggies, and I can only handle limited amounts of limited fruits... that's the story with my entire family).
I also have adrenal fatigue (the brain trauma left me in fight or flight, and I'm still trying to find a way out of that). There is some kind of yeast overgrowth in my gut, which flares to varying degrees at times.
My tolerance for supplements is very poor, so I'm going to have to find another way of handling this. I can tell that my liver is still not happy, and I need to find a gentle way to help get that under control before additional problems crop up.
