fastinganne
Hi Anastasia,
First of all, I have fasted before and have never experienced any bloating. I believe that it was due to my bowel preparation immediately before the fast; I always use
water enema for at least 2-3 days, and then commence my fast.
I know that enemas are not recommended by pure natural healer; However, the idea of keeping my bowel full of stool has always horrified me a lot. That is why I traditionally break the rule of purists and go my own way.
Secondly, I have read somewhere that a legs pain is due to the toxins accumulated there. Dry brushing followed by bath or shower is supposed to bring relief.
I personally has never had any pain during my fasts; However, I always dry brush my body several times a day, and then take a long bath. Additionally, I consume a nutritionally dense food only; I have been a raw vegan for several years.
It is a good idea to prepare the body for a fast by following a proper diet for at least several weeks; It would include eating only fruits and vegetables, avoiding sweets, sugar, junk, canned foods, dairy, meat, and fish.
What I always experience while fasting is a fatigue; Dry fast brings much less fatigue because it is shorter and there is not much time for a weakness to develop.
Love,
Anne
