You're a good doobie L ;+D Unfortunately there are not going to be any areas in urban municipalities where OWS folks can get a camping permit and certainly not NYC or Atlanta where I'm located. While even off the beaten is better that nothing, it's not going to get much press and raise awareness but that too is OK as the movement goes far and wide and there are just many different aspects of it.
Some of the homeless are also disfranchised people that have been put in that position by the current broken system and some will be desperate opportunist that are going to gravitate towards the OWS camp. In many cases, like it's been documented in NYC, the police has been sending these homeless folks and recently released criminals to the Occupy camps to undermine the OWS movement. The OWS movement just has to adapt and change in whatever means are available in order to keep Evolving and all we can do as you have done is support them in any way that is available to us as individual and or keep disseminating info by whatever means available to us such as this forum and any other social media we are affiliated with as I'm sure you have seen all my daily FB postings. Onward and upwards----------->>>>
Slept in my car or a tent a few times because I had to.
I have a feeling lots of folks are one paycheck away
from being in the same position
