Urban farms in Maine are growing big crops.

With its manicured lawns and upscale summer clientele, seaside Camden, Maine, isn’t the first place that springs to mind to raise a flock of chickens. But Peter Lindquist and Sarah Ruef-Lindquist decided to try, both to reduce their global footprint and to ensure a safe supply of protein for breakfast. In 2008, they bought a flock of 12 chickens for their half-acre parcel in Camden. And that's only the very beginning of the urban farms boom.

Hi Bill,
Your home state? Beautiful state. I visited it once many years ago and simply loved it. True. How long before the FDA steps in? We have a lovely farm a few miles away that sells naturally raised meat products and raw goat's milk. It's run by a lovely down to earth family. And sometimes I wonder how long it will be before they are shut down. These are crazy and evil times.

It may be awhile before we can Occupy the FDA, as big food and big pharma are firmly entrenched. However, the only thing more important than money to our politicians is votes and we can vote at the grocers markets as well as the ballot locations.
Every bit of produce and other food which we grow for ourselves (organically of course, and heirloom whenever possible) is a vote with our pocketbooks - whether it is a large garden, a smaller backyard garden or potted plants on our balconies and patios. So is every purchase of organic products, even though they may be partially corrupted.
Ane we can vote at the ballot places against those politicians who are in the thrall of big food and big pharma and support bills and agency rules which would restrict our food and health freedoms.
I fear that someday a reckoning may come for those who oppress us in violation of our founders wishes in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution which should guide their actions - and it may not be pleasant. In the interim, and perhaps in place of such a reckoning, we must individually do what we can to spread the good word and act in behalf of ourselves.

Bill, my suggested protocol has much more than oleander and would likely be successful in most instances without oleander. HOWEVER, the good news is that those who have problems with oral ingestion of oleander have two other options which will give very good absorption (perhaps significantly better than oral administration) and that is sublingual (under the tongue) or rectal. Both of those largely bypass the digestive system, especially rectal administration and should result in the oleander being much more tolerable. Given the kind of cancer you have I think I would prefer rectal administration or perhaps better still a combination of rectal and sublingual/
I also highly suggest you take a look at Jon Barron's Blood Support Tonic (available from Baseline Nutritionals and which as a great blood cleanser and cancer fitghter which is modeled very closely after fifth generation herbalist Dru Browning's anti cancer tonic (See Browning's Blood Tonic - A Remedy for Cancer and More)
In addition I would say that it would be extremely important to pay attention to keeping the liver cleansed, protected and re-generated. You can find a section about that in my suggested protocol.
I further suggest considering Essiac Tea. It is a very good blood and overall body cleanser and the combination of oleander, Essiac and Budwig has had several reports of success.
On a final note, while I am glad to hear that your oncologist is optomistic I will caution that such is often the case with oncologists who talk about response rates and perhaps even survival rates in glowing terms in order to sell someone on the chemo drugs which they buy wholesale and mark up hugely and which makes up the large majority of their income. Just about any anti-cancer item will have a response initially and survival rates most often refer to 5 year survival and not completely eliminating the cancer, preventing it from ever returniing and affording the patient the opportunity to live out a healthy normal lifespan - which is MY definition of success.
Sorry about the name mix-up. But given your support for gardening and such, I believe it is also appropriate in the regards I was thinking about. You obviously love nature - all you need is the pond. : )

No, you cannot use the contents of the oral capsules sublingually. The way they are made, it pretty much takes the digestive system to dissolve them thoroughly and get them into your bloodstream. I am not sure why a minority of folks have problems with oral ingestion, but that is the case. Most of the people I know who take oleander orally have not had much if any problems acclimating (though in some instances they have to start very small - say 1/4 of a capsule and work their way up), but there are some who have problems. For example, I can jump right in with a couple of capsules twice a day and have no more than loose stools for the first day or two. Luella on the other hand has quite the difficulty going beyond a single capsule.
I suggest going the liquid route - and I have a few newly arrived bottles of liquid SOPC on hand in case you are interested. Not trying to sell you, as I much prefer people order through the official sales sites - but I do try to keep some SOPC on hand for those who need faster delivery than the 10-14 days or so it takes to ship from South Africa or who either cannot or will not order online, and right now I have a good supply of the new more concentrated liquid version that costs less due to the smaller bottle being far less expensive to ship.
For the very best results with nebulizing, use 5 parts colloidal silver and 1 part each of lobelia and mullein extracts. Even better, also take the excellent Chinese herbal formula Clear Lungs Extra Strength. And be prepared for a lot of gunk to come up and out.
