"Hello everyone!so, I "finished" my 21 day fast today and I have lost 23 pounds.... I am at 113 lbs at the moment...the thing is I am not ready to end my fasting...I feel great and I am still healing, my ears have been hurting for a while and I am not in true hunger yet, let alone my tongue is all white and stinky still...:((((
...so I would love to go up to 35 days, but I do have one question for all you wonderful fasters....can I take it?... I really really love fasting...have I mentioned that? lol"
Hello Dear Katie :^),
Congratulations on reaching 21 days and on doing so well! If it was me feeling this great and experiencing such an overwhelming desire to continue fasting, i would take full advantage of this and keep going... and as Yogi said taking it one day at a time.
As to your weight, Dr. Shelton encourages (and promotes as beneficial) fasting even in the emaciated and at 5'1" or 5'3" and 113 pounds you are nowhere near this state.
Besides, with most of your temporary water loss and and all of the temporary intestinal content loss gone... and secondarily with a reduced metabolism probably by 20-30% at this point, i wouldn't expect continued weight loss to be very swift..
"mean how much more weight will I lose in another 2 weeks fasting, do I have enough fat stored away?
If i was to project a guess it would be about 1/2 pound per day at this point which is about 7 more pounds in 14 days. Maybe a range of 5-9 to account for individual differences and circumstances. Keep in mind too that upon breaking, your temporary water loss and intestinal content will return so you would be very unlikely to hit 106 pounds and then stay there unless you continued to aggressively burn fat once your fast was broken to offset the inevitable returns.
