Hello all,
Dam i feel totally like crap today, i am ready to give up.
Tested +4 for yest from Metametrix, taxonomy unvailable.
Doctor put my on 2 months of Diflucan, and nystating. Still felt the same for most parts. Doctor said maybe it could be mold, so doctor put me on 2 months of Cholestyrmanie. And pretty much still feel the same. Also had a Genova test doen, which looked pretty good except a little low on B vitamins and Magnanese.
I on popping os many pills, and i still feel the same like crap. Yes, some might say its die off, but it feels the same day in and day out, i dont think its die off anymore. I am also losing so much weight and im thin ass it is, becasaue i am not eating anything. The doc has me on the paleo diet.
I have been reading up on culturing, becasue i think i need to find out exactly what i have and what it will take to kill it.
Does anyone know about culturing ? What are the best labs ? What should i ask for ? I also read about sensativity testing to see what kills it.
Im so sick of this, i was noramll 4 years ago then BAM.

I reserached for labs that do macroscopic research as you had advised in another of my posts. I found this lad online, but they say for this test it only takes 7 days. You said that it should take 2 to 4 weeks to be done correctly. So this is not a good place right ?

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,862,303I am sorry to hear that you aren't doing better. I know a couple weeks ago you said you thought the CSM was helping. I know what a let down it can be when you feel something is working and then it stops. Do you think you just need more time with the CSM? Did you stop it all together?

Ask how long they hold specimen and if they examine for ALL molds/fungi.
Tons of labs claim they culture. My best advise is to do your due diligence and determine which meet the standards necessary.
If you're going with stool you might consider going with PCR testing as well. This way you cover all bases. Stool is not the easiest type of specimen with respect to ability to identify SPECIFIC overgrowths. Very hit or miss. Think about it. Swabs (sinus, lung, ear), scrapings, sputum samples are much more reliable and precise.

This is a reply to # 1,862,620thanks for the caring reply. By CSM you mean cholestyramine right ? Yes, i am still taking it, i guess i will finish the perscription. I dont understand it, the perscribe nystatin, diflucan, and cholestrymine. Each time that i begam one, i feel better for a few days, then i go right back to my normal felling, while i am still on them, it seems like only aobut a week passes. Somedays a little better, some days worse, and not know if it die off or not. Last night i could not sleep at all, laying there and every part of my body twitching. I have a burning pain in my throat, that i have had for 2 months, and not knowing if its a hiatal hernia or something else. I also just recently developed a lump on the outside of my neck. I have been freaking out thinking its somekind of cancer. i though it was my thyroid becasue its right in that area, but i can acually put my fingers around it, and when i swallow, it doesnt move. So just me venting, i feel like total crap today.
