My longest ever dry fast is now 4 days, midnight Wed to midnight Sunday. My previous best was 3days4hours.
I was planning over 5 days and thought it would be easy as I felt really good, like I could go for 11days!
But at 9pm on the 4th day I got a headache and it kept getting worse despite going out for a walk and trying to get some sleep, so I stuck it till midnight.
feel amazing! so much has healed! I can't imagine what 11 days of healing must be like.
I'm gradually getting there, going for 5 days next time.
RE:urination, mine was dark first 2 days and then lightened up and became more frequent, I was urinating a LOT and it was getting more rather than less which I thought was strange but reassuring that my body could find that much water after over 3 days.
I kept a log of my blood pressure/pulse/urine, etc :

I wonder what would have happened if I had tried to carry on despite the headache, surely that is a sign of severe dehydration and that you should STOP ??

- but I don't really know anything about that. I've not experienced a headache on any waterfast or dryfast yet (and the longest ones have been 6 days and 2 days, respectively). May attempt a 3-day-long dryfast very soon.

This is a reply to # 1,852,594it didnt feel like a detox headache more like a dyhydration headache, and it was getting worse and was very unpleasant, how anyone could push through that I don't know??!
what healed ?
right wrist fracture from 30 years ago hurt quite a bit for a while!
left heel continued to heal (didn't know their was anything wrong with it when it started healing 6 weeks ago)- then most of my foot.
right heel started healing - didn't know their was anything wrong with it in the first place.
sharp shooting pain in probably my left kidney - some serious damage being dissolved there.
sciatic nerve healing a bit more - seems a have a bit more to go on it, or I damaged it again.
got lots of prostate pains on 4th day, also testicles and the pipe work!
deep pains in the right hip again.
sure I felt some pains in my brain
I get fizzing feeling in my liver which I'm sure is it being repaired/broken down, felt a similar pain in my brain like I said above.
my stomach hurt quite a bit on days 3-4, also all my intestines.
bladder had some healing pains I think
all in all lots of stuff was healing - great !!
the longer it went on the deeper the healing seemed to be, the last 3 hours when I had the headache my body found an even deeper level that I'm never felt before.
my insides are now probably 20 years younger !! love it

This is a reply to # 1,852,606I do wonder about the pains tied to areas where we can't clearly see that healing is going on, but I can't argue that you don't really feel better after this, if that is the case. I guess the wrist and the heels are the places where you can most obviously tell something beneficial happened? Fascinating...
I guess I'll have to try myself once again (I got concerned due to me not urinating as much as is apparently normal when things are going well. Urinated just once a day after starting my 46 hour dryfast - I blogged about it here: http://www.fastingconnection.com/blog/first-dry-fast.html

This is a reply to # 1,852,561I do not know what caused your headache, whether dehydration or detox, but I think it is always better ot err on the side of caution.
Each dry fast I have done has gotten easier. I began witha 36 hour dry fast, then 48 hours, then 90 hours, then 5 days, then 8 days, and finally I did a 10 day dry fast. The interesting thing is that the final 10 hours of the 90 hour fast was just as difficult as the final 10 hours of the 10 day fast. I felt equally dry both times. So, I think as the body goes through the acidotic crises that Dr. Filonov talks about and cleans out toxins, a person is able to dry fast for longer without feeling as dry until much later in the game.
