Great post...
1) The main problem with "public housing" is there should not be any! Since getting kicked out of the Garden of Eden; mankind has had to forage, build and maintain their housing... Then you take a scatter brain idea that someone owes you something, and couple it with the so called "Liberal" postulation that only if you take stuff from those who have it and give it to the have nots; do you have happiness and joy! Then you are either a control freak who wants to make yourself feel better or just plain stupid as to the plan and purpose of mankind!
2) God gave everyone intelligence and a free will {choice}... It seems that evolution to the current "politically correct" {which is a misnomer} movement which is an attempt to balance, equalize or make fair by placing everything on a so called level playing field, is an insane idea! Only personal desires to care and share will ever help your neighbors, not government mandates and regulations...
Ok thanks for the reply...
I have been out of my blog box for years; I reply on 12 different posts @ different times...
Back on subject, I never understood why the Fed Gov't ever got into the housing market, period! I am a Jefferson - Republican, where lest government is best government!
Of course it started with FDR during the "Great" depression...
BTW: a friend from Peru ask me why was it only a "Great" depression in the US? While in the rest of the world is was just a depression! Shows how the Politically Correct works here in the United Socialist States!
I have many comments and items of truth and concern on my web site at http://simplytruth.com plus check the links box " Forum Message Board " where you can join to put in your personal view....
Well you are correct, we should each seek our pathway!
What will I do about developing my gift or talents?
Of course the most important thing to do is to continue to help others! If one fails to become a good neighbor, then one has failed those whom God has placed upon their pathway of life... Why must I serve those were placed upon my pathway of life; because God has placed them there!
I have been working toward being a light and guide for those whom I can direct to the Kingdom of Heaven!
My understanding is expanding exponentially toward the Eternity of Heaven, as I seek to know where will I spend Eternity!!
Maybe you are another of the messengers which we encounter our pathway of life!
Thank you for your reply and challenge!
Yes, as Brother Lawrence of The Resurrection once wrote:
" The greatest glory one can give to God is to entirely mistrust one's own strength, relying completely upon God's protection. This constitutes a sincere recognition of one's weakness and a true confession of the Omnipotence of The Creator! "
Brother Lawrence was a citizen of heaven, not concerned with the things of this earth!
Far from loving God in return for His benefits, Brother Lawrence loved God, even if there had been no punishment {Hell} to avoid or any reward {Heaven} to gain! His desire and life was to provide service to those around him, solely for the God's Glory and without self interest!
Then Brother Lawrence assisted the poor in their needs as much as was in his power. He consoled them when they came to him with their problems, offering advice... He did all the good for his neighbors, and tried never to harm anyone... He everything possible to win people to God!
At eighty years of age, on the his final day on earth, he ask to be alone... Then when ask how he had spent his time alone? he replied he had been doing what he would be doing for all Eternity; " Blessing God, praising God, adoring Him and Loving Him with all my heart. That is our whole purpose, brothers, to adore God and to Love Him, without worrying about the rest!" Then the next day 12th of February 1691, with out agony and with full senses, he died into the embrace of God, with the peace and tranquility of a person falling asleep!
That is what we all should attempt to have happen in our own life!
Sharing and caring is one of the most important things we humans can partispate in! HUH!
Yes, a wise man once said:
" If you do your best, then if your intention was pure and done for the right motives; you have enjoyed success! "
Of course success is often measured through the eyes of the world; not by the purpose of God!
