Dear good contemporaries,
I indulged in this Ayurvedic tradition of drinking water from a copper cup left overnight, which may have left me with copper poisoning - that is, ingesting ionic copper in a form which is not available to the body and being unable to excrete it.
I've recently been battling a strange problem where I'm losing collagen from everywhere including skin, joints etc., which roughly correlates with when I began ingesting the copper water.
I stopped the copper water habit just before this began when I noticed I was experiencing bloodshot eyes (maybe due to some kind of liver-related problem).
Assuming that the problem could be biounavailable/unbound copper-related, I'd like to try to chelate copper while supplementing with a more bioavailable form of copper.
Does anyone have ideas about how I could chelate the unbound copper from my system (e.g. NAC)?
Thanks for your consideration.
Very best regards,
Scott
