I had sudden pancreatitis with great pain the day after Father’s day. I went on a fast, as that was what the doctor was going to do, in part. So, I started the fast on my own and the major pain left after the 4th day of my water only fast and I continued the fast for a total of eight day. I reduced the pain by 90 per-cent and was left with little to no pain but a slight annoyance that did not clear. I figured the annoyance was caused by the major pain that had stress the nerves and I’ve fractured by back at the location of the tail of the pancreas…in 1993…so I’ve have pain management issues from time to time with my back.

I started another fast-water 4 days ago to work at removing the annoyance feeling from the area of the pancreas. The current fast is working.. as the annoyance is now intermediate.

?My question…I have chewed-up some crackers and spit them out and rinse my mouth out… This chewing and mouth crunches helps to settle down- mentally into an overall peaceful relaxed state… I have zero hunger but I’m very tried, cranky, and have in&out brain fog .. so does the chewing and spitting out of the crackers cause a lost/ chemical stimulus that reduces the effectiveness of my fast? ..or would it make the fast harder to continue? (I’ve only did the cracker deal once during my current fast and that being tonight) (but I did the cracker deal several time in my prior fast three weeks ago)
