Hi,
No, you don't have to wait for the tongue to clear to break your fast. You need to read some more. Usually that sign indicates fast completion, usually..not always.
But you break your fast when you are "high" or feeling better, not when you are feeling bad. If you break your fast when you are feeling sick or down, you will experience hell in your transition back to normal eating. Why? Just because all that malaise you feel means the body is detoxing or doing some deep cleansing....and you interrupt the body while doing its job.
Fasting has these periods on and off. Those bad days do not last much, wait another day or two, you will feel better, then you can break your fast, if you wish to, when you are "high" or feeling very good.
The body responds well to the transition back when you break on a High.
You can go back to fast if your misery is much-I advise you to do that because it would be faster or a shorter period of miserable time to do it this way, the right way. Then, wait a day or two....and break your fast, ONLY, ONLY, ONLY.. when you feel better -within the fast- that day.
