I know this has been discussed in the past, but I'm wondering if anyone here has had experience with this.
When my candida overgrowth was at its worst (i.e., when I could smell the yeast in my hands and could not get a solid bowel movement), it seemed like my testosterone levels were sky-high: I was having all sorts of body hair growth, very high sex drive, male-pattern baldness, oily skin, etc.
Strangely, though, once I started trying to battle the candida, suddenly my testosterone levels seem to have dropped through the floor and I'm even having symptoms of high estrogen--e.g., zero sex drive, sore and itchy nipples, voice got higher, etc. It's actually beginning to scare me.
So has anyone else dealt with something like this during the candida battle? Is it just a phase until my body regulates its hormones again? I am taking some natural testosterone-boosting supplements (Now Foods TestoJack) in an effort to feel like a man again. I'm wondering if it could have something to do with my diet as well (I've been eating a ton of vegetables compared with before).
