I want to fast more but need my strength again to make another hard push at work, so i don't want to go multiple days for now. I have been reading good things about intermittent fasting in general and 16/8 (or 19/5) specifically. The dry aspect is my own adaptation as is the "pure/no exceptions" aspect. 16/8 fits me better right now, partly because the 17 day fast was pretty recent and i am still too excited about food to eat only 5 hours per day :). Fasting in this way my energy is completely undiminished and i actually believe it to be greater than normal.
What i eat after: I usually break with herbal tea and/or fruit. Then have my budwig concoction about an hour later (organic flax seed oil/organic cottage cheese/organic fresh ground flax seeds/whey protein powder). Sometimes i'll have some veg soup with this meal. A couple hours later maybe more fruit, then an hour after that maybe another protein/veg meal (salmon or organic beef or organic eggs as 3 possibilities).... or possibly beans and veg... then a couple hours later usually more veg or fruit and/or herbal tea again as the last meal before bed.
Sorry about your candida... i do wonder how effective dry fasting might be against it.

I did not start right after refeeding, i was far too excited to eat (healthy foods), so i had to let that calm down a bit first. I started about 3 or 4 weeks after ending the 17 day fast (which i believe was about 2 weeks ago).
How about the gym ? Dont you go to sweat a little bit? I know you were into some physical activities. How do you recover without water then?
Whatever sweating i have done has not been enough to make me thirsty, not even once... I am doing some form of muscle training usually every other day and some form of moderate or intense cardio about 5-7 days a week. But it's cold where i am and humid, so i do have those two factors working to preserve my water reserves.
If ever i was thirsty (beyond mild thirst) i would be open to drinking. I would never expect to develop heavy thirst within just 16 hours, but if i did, i would drink in that case almost certainly. We'll see how this works as it begins to get hotter.
So you're still loving your fast and feeling good?
