I'm taking meds and they're destroying my nails which are bending like crazy, chipping, ridges, etc., and to harden them I learned that Lugol's Iodine helps to strengthen them. Any feedback is appreciated. So, what do you think? I was searching for Lugol's and it's not cheap. So I went to my regular place, Vitacost, and this is what I found:

World Organic Liqui-Kelp Iodine - $4.47 for 2 ounces

Serving Size: 4 Drops (0.25 mL)
Servings per Container: 240

Other Ingredients: Purified water, decoction of Atlantic kelp (fucus vesiculosus), potassium Iodide (to standardize potency) and sodium benzoate. I don't know much about chemistry and was wondering about the sodium benzoate.

Free Of:
Sugar, starch, yeast, corn, wheat, milk, artificial color and artificial flavor.

For adults, take four (4) drops (4 minimum) daily in a glass of water or with meals, or as directed by your healthcare professional.
