I agree about hiring a manager or person to help you. But, I also agree that the same solution is not right for everyone. Here's my experience with business: I had twins 8 yrs ago (which was child #5 & #6 for me). That was enough to put me over the edge because I was 40 yrs old and the sleep deprivation was really getting to me. Then, when the babies were 8 months old, a friend and I started an organic produce business, as distributors. The business boomed, and over the years, as the economy was getting worse, our business was doing great. But, I just couldn't do it anymore, and she was ready to quit for other reasons, so we closed it. I wish I could have continued, but my adrenals would not hold up and I'm pretty sure that the business, combined with the babies, did me in.
So, all that to say this: Maybe you don't have to make a decision right now (like someone else said). Maybe you could hire a helper/manager, put in a few hours a week yourself, and re-evaluate the situation in 3 months or 6 months. By then, you could possibly be doing better health wise, and you might could increase your hours. Or, if you are doing worse, then you could close it up, or whatever. Or, you might consider selling your business to someone. I wish we had done that, but we just didn't think of it at the time. A month later, we heard from someone who would have wanted to take the business over. So, that is just some of my brainstorming thoughts....
Hope all goes well for you.
