I was looking through yahoo and found this info that an animal nurse posted about tapeworms..
""As an animal health professional, I know more than any normal person would want to know about tapeworms. No food or drink will get rid of a
Tapeworm (unless you were to drink lots of poison, which would just be dumb).
First off, it's pretty hard for a human to get a tapeworm. The best idea is to talk to your doctor about any symptoms you're concerned about. I'm 99% sure you don't have a tapeworm.
A
Tapeworm would cause you to look malnourished, and get sick really easily. It would cause you stomach pain too. The easiest way to know if an animal has tapeworms, is by finding a segment on the animal.
Tapeworms shed segments filled with eggs. They would come out in your poop, or be found around your anus. They are white or yellowish, about the size of a grain of rice, and while they are alive, they move around kind of like an
inch worm (which is creepy).
Tapeworms are treated with a deworming medication (in tablet or liquid form), and if the infection is really bad, you can also be put on IV nutrients, and be monitored to make sure the death of the worm doesn't cause anaphylactic shock.""
My question is.. has anybody experienced this type of anaphylactic shock before?? Thanks
