Great idea Cisco, I think that would work very well. World Affairs discussion forum, has a good ring to it.

This is a much more inclusive title, and politics can be discussed, but doesn't have to be the sole topic. There is a lot going on in Egypt and other middle eastern countries, as well as Europe, Africa, and my own part of the world Australia, and it would be good to get a wide range of views, and hear more from people living in these countries.

A debate forum is just that, for debate, but not everyone wants to debate, some like me and others, would like to be able to discuss, without it being adversarial.
