Hi Spud,

I think a Politics Support Forum is a great idea Spud and it would welcome many points of view for good discussion without the insults that has been present in the Politics Debate Forum.

There are many countries in this world with such diverse political systems. It would be great to delve into those with a mixture of peoples views and ideas. This would make for interesting conservation.

I hope your request is granted for this new forum.

Spud, I think a Political Support forum is an excellent idea! The existing Political Debate forum is in a sad state and I doubt very much that anyone except for a handful of right-wingers wants to bother with it anymore. It would be interesting to have actual political discussions for a change!

Webmaster, despite the nasty comments, by one poster, in this thread, this is a serious request for a forum, where people can feel they are able to post about a variety of political views, without abuse.

Please consider this seriously.

How does one have a Politics Support Forum , when there's no agreement anywhere on political issues to support?

Specifically: for a support forum to BE a support forum, it has to *support* something specific. How does one *support* politics? What "politics" would be supported? And who is going to define & determine that?

Example: there's politics and then there's politics. Of which are you speaking? Do you mean a forum that supports what some consider to be true politics (the actions of those we see making all the decisions). OR what I/others consider to be true politics (the plans & actions of the global puppetmasters that pull the strings of the puppets that we see on the world stage)?

I'm not saying I'm "for or against" a Politics Support Forum - I'm simply suggesting foresight is much better than hindsight...and it's always prefer to address issues before they become problems, rather than deal with problems. And those two issue seem like they carry the potential to be HUGE problems.

During the last presedential election I was mob-attacked for saying I was voting for Obama. I had no idea how many conservative republicans were at this website. And I noticed that many of them stayed in the Debate Forums , and rarely saw them in the support areas.

Perhaps what is need is a "non-debate" forum that has left leanings and one that has right leaning. That way the left-ist forum could freely talk about Move On and other liberal views without fear. The right-ist forum can bow to Limbaugh and do whatever they do.

You will never be able to have a political forum that mixes the two. Either it will be "debate" or it will be "support" but the animals all need to be the same breed.
