This is a reply to # 1,760,440Read your site. So you lost 90 pounds and did you keep it off mostly for 4 years or so or did it start coming right back?
I am lucky I guess,did juice few shorter fasts few years back but did regain that weight. Think went 14 and 20 days forget already .
This time am doing water only but for me its been no problem really at all and am too impatient to do juice for 120 days or whatever. I am having hard enough time doing 40 on water not because its hard energy is fine and feel fine but because of the pure boredom of it. But will soldier on. Water of course loses weight about twice as fast as juice maybe even faster.
I put wife on juice fast for her first fast and she is on day 17 and doing ok. She has dropped think maybe 13 to 15 pounds hasn't weighed herself last few days.She was 199 so should be 187 to 185. Figure 150 is good for her she is 5ft 6 not sure how tall you are.You look pretty thin to me at 120 but I like my woman more high normal bodyfat don't like skinny or too althletic /bodybuilder type of women. My x was oriental girl and was 5ft and she was up to about 110 or so after few kids and looked fine to me. Lately when seen her she is under 100 and looks terrible. She is anorexic though.
I look at bodyfat more than weight. So many women try to be so thin. I don't think most guys like thin women. normal or even touch overweight is fine with me.
Anyway back to your fast.Best of luck juice fasting can be easier than water if you have the patience for it.
All the best on your fast. Also would add aerobics 5x week and weights 3 to 4 x week . 3x full body or 4 day split. Both of those will help burn it off faster and keep it off.
I plan to stick with that have been doing the 5x aerobics for year or more and weights more intermittently but mostly just maintained with that was still guess eating
too close to my burn rate. I maintained at 50% or so bodyfat 250 to 260 not good.Wife was maintaining at also similar bodyfat and 190 to 200 range. also not good.
I will try eat stop eat after this 40 days with the exercies and see how that goes.Not going to any radical diet. If get impatient after month or so on eat stop eat will fast again likely water again but hopefully shorter like 21 days or 30 max.Not much into every doing a 40 day again.

This is a reply to # 1,760,516Hi ALB I kept it off the entire 4 years. The key was I didn't go back to my old habits of visiting McDonalds 3 times a day. I guess with anyone as long as they don't return to their old habits they will be fine. Your tummy will shrink any way and your appetite. Because you've trained yourself to say no to food (mental thing) your not enticed by every favorite food that comes by either.
I found myself eating only when I felt hungry and with standard portion sizes which is the size of a Cell Phone for meat, etc, I didn't over eat anymore.
I gained weight back cause I went through a bit of trauma and just wanted to be invisible. Only way I know to do that is eat ...alot. Then I got pregnant at age 34 and got up to 300 lbs. After the baby my weight stablized at 230lbs. I lost 10 of it last year and want the rest off this year.
The first week, is not as easy as it was when I lsot the weight before cause before I didn't have to look at food if I didn't want to. Now with my child I have to make food choices all the time. But I think with support and sites like this I will succeed this year.

I have to give you a standing ovation cause I have yet to do a water fast. I know all about it but "I'm chicken"
and Kudos to your wife for sticking to it.
I had my reasons (music industry) for getting down to 120lbs. However, I'm not in that industry anymore so I don't think I'll really get down to 120lbs I want to settle between 130lbs - 140 lbs cushion. Plus I'm 5'8 1/2 and I wear heels all the time and I live in LA, plastic land.
A touch of over weight is fine. As a black woman we like our curves. With my weight though I don't carry it well all my fat goes to my tummy. Like a pair shape. My shape has only looked normal in a thinner frame. I may never have a Beyonce booty (unless I get injections like many big but celebs, but I'm not doing that) lol

yes eat stop eat would be a way to go just have to still have the same mind frame as to not over eat when your allowed to.
To be honest there are so many ways to loose weight I lost the 10 lbs last year on my self made nibble diet, I took 2 bites of anything I just had to have (all junk food_) and no more than 2 bites.

You are 5ft 8 and half you should look great at like 160 or even a bit more. As said really dont' think most guys like women thin.And most don't think like bodybuilder women.
Normal or slightly over normal is fine with me and think most guys. But of course you have to decide how you look and be happy with your body and weight.
I was bit faint in store today when went shopping. I cut water bad today just had 2 glasses and almost paid the price by passing out. And this was just walking around not getting up quick from chair or lying down. I got home pounded down three more glasses of water fine again. Got to stay hydrated!
Not sure how long you plan on juice fast this time. Guess depends on how fast you want to go down.Would think about 20 or so pounds for every 30 days on juice maybe or even 5 pounds less? Wife is not losing that fast on juice and is not drinking that much of it either. She also got very faint fact passed out the other day and hit head and back but luckily is ok. She cut her juice and water down way low. She upped it back same day after I made her do it she is stubborn and she felt much better and has been good since then. But it could have been bad even fatal.So I like to tell people to drink good amounts of fluid not try to dry fast type of thing. To me that is very dangerous.

This will be my first full day of fasting, I'm starting at 185# and want to lose about 60 so we'll see how it goes.
I think sometimes the fainting can be due to orthostatic hypotension, which is basically just a blood pressure drop when standing up quickly. B.P. tends to drop when we fast anyway, so be very careful going from a sitting to a standing position to avoid falls. At the first sign of any lightheadedness, you should LIE DOWN WHEREVER YOU HAPPEN TO BE. Don't "wait to faint." Get on the ground and lie still to avoid a head injury on a fall.
Other than that, I'm sure dehydration plays a role, too, but people's fluid levels tend to stabilize as fasts get longer and longer - probably a natural mechanism to prevent overhydration which can cause electrolyte imbalances.
I'm not doing 100% Water Fasting either - more like 50% Crystal Light and 50% water and maybe some diet soda I have left over here until it's used up. But I'll be drinking Smart Water in addition to tap water, for the electrolyte content. Any commercial mineral water is going to have sodium in it as well.

it's almost days end for me Los Angeles 8:03 pm my favorite part of the fasting is that during sleep I won't have to think about food!

Thank you for that tip yes i am familiar with the dizzy spells , ofcourse I'm only day 2 but to be honest even when I'm not fasting I still get dizzy when standing I noticed it 1st during the 1st fast and it never went away.
That is a good reminder and I'll find some information about that and blog about it. Funny thing though and I always wondered around the fourth year after fast and weight loss I had an episode where I felt faint and I couldn't breathe but maybe that wasn't related maybe even an anxiety attack but I've always wondered...any thoughts?

This is a reply to # 1,760,645PS I would never dry fast, I am glad your getting the message out . I drink tea mostly with Sugar in it. I know it's not the best way but for me it works and keep my energy up and not dizzy as I have a little one to take care of and drive around. Yes liquids are the key thank you for sharing and your tips.

Yea I'm so glad your joining in just knowing people are waiting to hear a good report helps so much.
Off to Sleep early for me, sleeping means fasting, well rested means the body isn't in need of carb cravings for energy....plus that's at least 6-8 hours I'm oblivious to food and commercials and fast food restaurants I drive by.

I always take a herbal gentle laxative at the beginning of a fast and this morning it took it's course which is why I'm down 2 lbs.
