Hi,
I want to heal, but I'm afraid that being a total vegan may not be a good idea for my own body. I'm a blood type O, and a little animal protein for breakfast every day seems to feel good with my body. I'll stay open to suggestions but I don't think I'd be wise to attempt to eat a 100% vegan diet. If I was sick with a life threatening condition, that might be another story, but in general, I seem to be quite healthy.
Ms Gerson does look very healthy. I don't think it's a question of whether or not she eats 100% vegan foods, it's probably more how she pays close attention to diet and lifestyle, because I'm afraid we all were not meant to be total vegans. Take all animal protein out of my diet and give it 5 or 6 years and I'd bet I'll be on my knees by then. For me personally, I'd say eating a little low stress animal protein in my breakfast each day may be an excellent idea.
I could be wrong but I don't think most/many people get sick from animal protein in itself, or at least not the way I eat it. It seems most often to be a case of not paying attention to diet and lifestyle, and then having to quickly turn everything around to try to overcome a life threatening illness. If you feel good on animal proteins, it's a good sign that you're not going to succumb to any life threatening condition anytime soon. Maybe I need to do more reading about this. I just don't think there's a *one size fits all* diet for all of us and I don't want to have to find out the hard way again, which is the way I've had to learn about many things with my health already.
Joe
