emulsified,
I, too, have completed several liver flushes that have been of considerable benefit. Perhaps don't pay too much attention to the LF 'put-downs' posted by the omniscient one, as the results of the 'flush' speak for themselves. However, I do understand your curiosity as to the mechanisms by which these good post-flush feelings are brought about – I tried to work it all out for myself a while back. I remember that during one of my liver flushes I passed semi-solid 'stones' – they were gritty when I crushed them against the toilet bowl and measured 2-3 mm across (at the time I attributed their 'grittiness' to calcification). I recall that after another flush, I felt absolutely exhilarated and strangely free from negative emotion – if the liver is the seat of emotion, the liver flush may explain this effect. I remember another time when I had just finished a liver flush and had to call people on the phone to release my energy and enthusiasm! It was a physically and psychologically exhilarating experience that I wanted to share.
Posts from 'expert/s' who try to play down the therapeutic effects of the flush, will not in any way detract from the benefits (obvious to those who have performed successful flushes), despite repeated attempts at undermining the process using reductionistic anatomical formulae. The fact that 'scientific discoveries' are ongoing and commonplace shows that there is still much we do not know about life processes; these include interactions between mind and body / emotions and organs. Purely anatomical explanations simply do not address or adequately explain the profound effects of the liver flush which are reported by many.
I have not greatly delved into the physical mechanisms of the flush (rather, I have just accepted that it works for me), but I think that perhaps the biliary tubing is rendered temporarily patent by this procedure, allowing healthy flow of bile and chi (ki, prana etc). The more ethereal energies that then pass freely through associated meridians, in addition to any other energies that are now able to move freely, contribute to that feel-good sensation and improved vitality that so often results.

I don't need to smash my thumb with a hammer to know it is going to hurt and cause damage.
What people who support "liver flushes" have not figured out yet is that feeling better does not mean something is working or beneficial. Cancer patients can feel better from chemotherapy as it knocks back the cancer. Does this make it safe? No. Does this mean it is beneficial? No. Can it cause other problems? Yes.
These flushes are not expelling large gallstones as is being claimed. This has been proven over and over. They can cause a real stone to lodge in the bile ducts though, which can lead to pancreatitis and will require emergency surgery.
And if the person does have real gallstones these flushes WILL NOT address the base causes. So putting yourself at risk just to feel better temporarily is as ludicrous as taking cocaine to make yourself feel better. Either way you may feel better while putting your health at risk.
'... feeling better does not mean something is working or beneficial.'
rational beings may well disagree with this theory

"May" is only a possibility. In this case a very remote one.
And by the way a theory is a hypothesis backed by evidence. So you are admitting that I have valid points. Thanks.
Here we go again!
>- feeling better does not mean something is working or beneficial
To an extent, you may be correct. Alcohol may make you fell better while it is in your system, but afterward things can be just as bad as before.
However, if you feel better afterward and this improvement continues to be felt, then it is very likely that it WAS beneficial.
So using your same analogy we can assume that you support having gallbladders removed in the case of stones or inflammation since you will feel better long term in the long run.
>- can feel better from chemotherapy as it knocks back the cancer
First, I have known many people taking chemo and I have never heard of any that really felt better while taking it. Get over that. Yes, the absence of cancer will make you feel better and that is an improvement no matter how achieved.
I did not say while taking it. Again by your analogy of feeling good in the long term chemotherapy must be a beneficial thing. Persoanlly I disagree with that, but again according to your if you feel good long term it must be a good thing analogy I must be wrong in believing chemo is bad. As you mentioned absence of cancer is an improvement.
>- These flushes are not expelling large Gallstones as is being claimed. This has been proven over and over.
Again, many of these tests are done with fingers on the scale and there are also tests to refute this.
The lab tests are a big part of what I am talking about. The lab tests that I have seen presented here said they WERE NOT real gallstones, and there was one that was presented in which the lab test was faked. Again those have been addressed numerous times.
>- So putting yourself at risk just to feel better temporarily is as ludicrous as taking cocaine to make yourself feel better.
Risk? Having a good movement is a serious risk? There is far more risk in eating something with high fructose corn syrup or synthetic artificial sweeteners.
There is more risk in gall bladder surgery than in flushing.
Funny how the so-called "liver flush" advocates never mention the risk of potentially lodging a real stone in the bile ducts leading to pancreatitis and requiring emergency surgery. Maybe they are just unaware of this danger, which would just go to show that they know much less about the process than originally thought. After all they still have not figured out that those big "stones" they are passing are not coming from the gallbladder but rather are formed in the intestines as lab tests have proven over and over.
I find it incredible that someone can honestly compare drinking a little olive oil, fruit juice and Epsom Salts to chemotherapy. Laughable actually.
I am sorry that this very simple analogy went so far over your head. Next time I will be sure to simplify concepts even more if somehow possible so that may help.
i'll tell you what is disturbing about statements like that...
Disturbing is the wrong word and should be replaced with "interesting". Why it is so interesting is that the so-called "liver flush" supporters will argue all day and insult anyone challenging their false belief system, but will NEVER back up their claims with REAL evidence. Why? Simple, because it DOES NOT exist!!!
Let me teach you something about debate since this is a debate forum. Continually saying someone is wrong just because you say so is not debating. Debating involves taking your side and supporting it with real evidence like I have done over and over and over....... The fact that you and your buddies have not provided any real evidence that "liver flushing" works or is safe and none of you have been able to reply with REAL evidence to refute all the evidence I have posted that proves "liver flushing" is bogus speaks volumes.
