It could well be that your wound was not thoroughly cleaned out, though it is a bit puzzling to have a problem away from the wound site. That happened with my son several years ago when he had a playground accident and school and some debris, including a small bit of concrete, remained in the wound. Tey ultimately had to open the wound up and clean it out thoroughly. However, his problem was at the wound site (in the wound site, actually) and not away from it. With both the antibiotic and silver it would surely be a good idea for you to take some probiotics to make sure you don't get your intestinal flora out of whack.
When I take silver for something serious, I often start off with about 4 ounces or more to give the problem a big hit and then do the equivalent of a tablespoon or so every few hours.
I like honey a lot as a wound healer - raw organic Manuka honey that is. I don't think it will help with a problem which it cannot directly come in contact with though. You might take a look at this article for some items which may help boost your natural immune system and infection fighting ability:

It would probably be a good idea to eat lots of garlic. The supplement bromelain usually helps speed healing greatly. So does suma. You might also consider doing some coffee enemas. Yeah, I know, yuck - but that will help open up the bile ducts for maximum elimination of toxins and as a side benefit will also boost your glutathione production by about 400 to 500% each time you do the procedure.
All the best,
