I'm not pessimistic towards real science. It's what's done with Science that concerns me, and the fact that the high standards of scientific research has been abandoned. I'm not saying all scientists are corrupt either, but there is too many who are. That's a fact. All you have to do is look at global warming to see one example. Or look at studies done in the health industry.

Most people here at CZ are well aware of it when it comes to "healhcare". There are paid ghost writters, biased studies and scientists who will tweak the "facts" to keep their paychecks. These things need to go.

Another problem is all they know is "the box" they were spoon fed, and they can't see past "the box" or think outside of it in most cases. And those who do, are condemed. If it doesn't fit in "the box", it don't exist.

I also see Science pushing theories as fact. There is absolutely no evidence for strings, quantum foam or bubbles or bumps. There is absolutely no evidence that everything we know to exist comes from a singularity that's smaller than a atom. There is no example of it anywhere in the universe, yet big bang is taught everywhere as if it were truth. If it's a theory, then why even teach it and condemn everything else until it's proven? Teach all the theories.

Especially since a lot of it is based on equations and formulas. If the reality doesn't fit the equation, they simply tweak the equation so it does. And right now I believe they're so far off in some areas, it's about to totally collapse. Just like our government and economy. And I believe they're going to have to pull their hair out and throw the books and chalk boards out the window and start over soon.

With all the money involved in the process, the process becomes corrupt. This can't be denied either. They need to put back the high standards and ethics they used to have in the field. And right now there is hardly any in my opinion, except to make a name for yourself and keep that paycheck coming in.

But don't get me wrong about real science. I believe exploring the reality we live in is great. It just needs a total make over like our government and economy. :-)

I hope you know I wasn't trying to condem you. I know great things have come from science. And I know you're open to where ever it leads. I just don't like how Science has become a business. And once it became that, it was corrupted. Not everywhere, but in to many places. And now it's controled by other businesses and the government. It lost it's high standards and innocense. In a lot of ways it's more about making the buck and controlling the masses than the science. That's all.

I'm waiting for the discovery that makes them have to throw their equations, formulas, books and thought processes out the window and start over again. :-)
