I agree with some of what you say, there is corruption within science, but it is no where near as wide spread as your suggesting. At least not in my country, and I know this because I am a scientist, and I worked it the scientific field for many years.
It is often not the research or the researchers, that is the problem, but what the people, who ask for the research, do with the information they get. They will skew the information, change the information, or bury the information, to suit their own desires, this is what happens frequently in the medical fields.
As for global warming, the
Science is very sound, and clear, on this. It is people who have not studied the science, or do not understand the science, that think that global warming, and the changes that this brings to the climate, and ecosystems, of our planet, is not happening. The corporations and governments, that feed off them, are trying to discredit the science, so they can keep polluting our planet. This is the corruption of greed, not of science.
If the media, and the people in charge of education, teach theory as fact, this is hardly the fault of science. I was never taught theory was fact, I was taught the theory, then encouraged to prove or disprove it. It is the lack of critical thinking, in our education systems, that is the problem, not the science.
You are also absolutely wrong about scientists, only being able to think "in the box", the fact that I can type this message, and you can read it, many thousands of kilometres away, is proof that scientists do not think "in the box". To insult the people, who have made all kinds of technology available to other people, shows a lack of understanding of what
Science is all about.
