Molly, dear heart, what a bunch of horsesh*t! I disagree with the article in that a narcissist (particularly, a malignant narcissist) doesn't have any choices or even a rudimentary understanding of the damage that they cause! Moreover, I disagree that most narcissists are male - on the contrary, I notice more NPD behaviors among women, especially young females.
"Jerk" .....yah..... just doesn't fill the bill!

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,732,008...I use "the ex" a lot, or his last name, depending on the circumstances.
I've always felt that being decent about it, was the best policy...especially to strangers and new acquaintances.
Old friends, of course, know more than that.
It's worked well since the mid-80's...and not hurt the son, I believe.

But dh has another name for him, on occasion.
