I just got back from the holistic dentist which is recommended by my integrated med doctor. She is also a periodontal specialist (gum specialist).
Interestingly, she is aware about this condition called adrenal fatigue and go on to explain to me the correlation between the gum infection and this illness (and all sort of illness out there: headache, kidney failure, liver, etc.) Basically it's all link to the immune system.
From my history of TMJ and looking at my body posture, she can tell my some of my problem already. (apparently when our body is in pain- gut or jaw issues, our body is adapting and compensate, resulting with a posture where the head is a bit forward compared to the rest of the body. The facial structure is also affected -- though this one also depends on genetic predisposition). After performing thorough check on me (look at my gum, whole mouth scan, electricity level on each amalgam) she said that since my body is so toxic that each of the organs (gut, liver, kidney, etc) needs to be detoxify before I can do any
Amalgam removal. Her first attempt is to get a good bacteria back to my mouth (killed the bad bacteria) and heal the infection (inflammation) which now apparently covers my whole gum (not only around my
root canal teeth) and cause my bleeding most of the time. This can further cause gum recession (this is for you who also had gum recession symptoms with adrenal fatigue.)
So, besides giving me teeth and gum cleaning instruction, she increased my vit C and magnesium intake (adding to what my doc already gave me). She also said I need high protein (which I already done, so her recommended diet is referring to Weston Price research). She said I need vit C, vit B, High protein and good fat.(the same as what we have found here in curezone, but I got it finally from a dentist!) She has not prescribed me the vit B supplement, but she gave me high probiotic supplement and mineral supplement to help my body to produce vit B. Also, since my estrogen is a bit high, she explained the estrogen is pro-inflammatory hormone. Her priority now is to make sure I am in no pain first, my body able to detoxify properly before I do any
Amalgam removal. She followed safe removal protocol for the amalgam. I don't know what her stand on
root canal issues though (seemed to me she knows the danger, but not the type who advocate complete removal since it will create another problem.) Also, she recommend stretching exercise and walk until sweating to make sure the body detox and blood circulation runs well (this is for cold hand and feet symptoms).
So, this is the additional info: the good bacteria which is destroyed is not only in the gut, but also in the mouth.
Anybody having gum inflammation too? (any prob in your mouth: bleeding, bad breath, swelling, etc.?)
GBU,
ERM
