The only time a gallbladder is painful to the touch is either during an attack or if a stone is in the neck blocking it, hence bloating, soreness, tenderness, swelling, inflammation (chronic blockage). Normally, even if there were stones in the gallbladder you "NOT" would feel them, and would have a hard time finding the gallbladder itself. Mine was right there at the top of my upper right quadrant, swollen and distended, but this is probably rare.
Parasites, depending on the type, maybe visible to the eye, but others are microscopic. Hard to say in your case. Have you been taking a
parasite cleanse?

The flukes sized 70 mm, or 7
cm which is about 3 inches, and those are visible, slimy thingies.
