about the neurotoxin, Aspartame. I imagine
you might wonder WHY I am posting it in
the Gulf Oil Spill forum??

Because, in spite of tremendous efforts
at the state level, and years of protest,
the government refuses to ban this product.
Likewise, the government REFUSES to stop
the use of Corexit by British Petroleum.
In fact, it would appear that they encouraged
it and still do. There has been NO effort
to diminish its use or to use safer alternative
products. In this excerpt from the article
below it, a FDA representative finally
gave the real reason we are faced with
hundreds if not thousands of products
with Aspartame in it, including infant
medications...

Now, think about the Corexit and the poisoning
of the Gulf and consider the fight we face in
demanding the government to STOP the use of
dispersants. We must-must-must try harder to
raise awareness not only of the dangers of
Corexit, BUT, the need to stop the use of
it as well. Decades have passed and there is
no end in sight to the use of Aspartame. The
only thing we can do is raise awareness. With
Corexit, the need is even MORE imperative that
we stop its use as soon as possible. From the

the use of Corexit in the Exxon Valdez spill

Aspartame Awareness Weekend - What You Can Do
September 10-12, 2010

For 30 years, Aspartame (AminoSweet, Equal, NutraSweet, Spoonful, Canderel, E951, Benevia, etc.) has caused sickness and death in 100 countries.

In the beginning, the FDA tried to get G. D. Searle indicted for submitting fraudulent studies that did everything from filtering out the neoplasms to excising brain tumors, and putting dead rats back in the study and resurrected them on paper. This failed because the lawyers for the manufacturer hired the two federal prosecutors.
Next the FDA Board of Inquiry revoked the petition for Aspartame approval. Don Rumsfeld, CEO of the manufacturer, G. D. Searle Co. called in his political markers to get aspartame on the market anyway. Rumsfeld was close to Ronald Reagan and the night after his inauguration Reagan had upright FDA Commissioner, Jere Goyan, fired. Then he appointed Arthur Hull Hayes as FDA Commissioner.
Hayes over-ruled the Board of Inquiry and let slip the hounds of disease, disability and death on an unwarned innocent world population.

Immediately, the devastations began: MS symptoms, lupus, loss of vision, brain tumors, migraines, confusions and a rampage of ADD, ADHD, autism, birth defects and psychiatric problems. Diabetics complained of blood Sugar being out of control, confusion and convulsions. In 1985, Monsanto bought G. D. Searle. Senator Howard Metzenbaum called for congressional hearings, which Senator Orin Hatch fought to prevent. Finally, there were hearings in 1985 & 1987. Hatch took money from Monsanto, and Metzenbaum's bill which would have put a moratorium on aspartame until NIH did independent studies died in committee.

H. J. Roberts, M.D., in a 1990 press conference warned: "I think it would be a tragedy if this issue is ignored since we could be inviting disastrous medical, psychological and neurological problems. I hope I'm wrong. But let's look at the problem NOW instead of in five or 10 years when we might be having a medical plague on our hands."

They should have listened. By 2001 the world plague was obvious and Dr. Roberts released his 1000 page medical text: Aspartame Disease: An Ignored Epidemic, www.sunsentpress.com Aspartame is a disease because the symptoms are predictable and there is a pattern. This would have been avoided had they listened to Dr. Roberts, He should be nominated for the Nobel Prize, not only for trying to prevent this epidemic but for writing the medical text that would teach other physicians and the public where so much sickness, drug interaction and death originated, and the mechanism by which aspartame causes such horrendous disease. No drug is safe for someone consuming this poison because it damages the mitochondria interacting with drugs and vaccines. Aspartame is also an adjuvant, immune stimulator, causing the same reactions as other adjuvants cause like Squalene: ALS, MS, lupus, autism and other horrors.

For Aspartame Awareness Weekend we want to concentrate on the diabetic because aspartame has magnified this epidemic. Dr. Roberts, a diabetic specialist, in the medical text states that aspartame not only precipitate diabetes, but it simulates and aggravates diabetic retinopathy and neuropathy, destroys the optic nerve, causes diabetics to go into convulsions, and interacts with insulin. The free methyl alcohol aspartame releases causes diabetics to lose their limbs.

Dr. Ralph Walton, psychiatrist, in writing to the legislature when a ban aspartame bill was introduced in Hawaii, said, "Over the ensuing years I have continued to see the multiple neurologic and psychiatric consequences of aspartame use. It can lower the seizure threshold and lead to an incorrect diagnosis of epilepsy, with subsequent inappropriate prescription of anticonvulsants. It can mimic or exacerbate symptoms of MS, it can paradoxically produce carbohydrate craving and weight gain. The world-wide epidemic of obesity and type 2 diabetes obviously has multiple causes, but I am convinced aspartame is a major factor."

Dr. Bill Deagle says: "Most people when asked how Aspartame is made do not have the first step of understanding. While an E.R. doctor and primary care physician in Augusta, GA in 1987 and 1988, I was told a number of interesting facts about the adjacent Aspartame factory. Bacteria with genes inserted generate a sludge which is centrifuged to remove the aspartame and many hundreds of contaminant organic and amino acids are present. We were told not to report illness or worker's compensation issues for fear of being fired by the hospital, now the Augusta Regional Medical Center. Many of their employees presented with psychiatric, neuropathy conditions, chronic fatigue and organic cases of loss of cognitive function. This powder from the dried sludge was then transported for packaging in factories elsewhere in the US, before sale as Equal and now the myriad of names of this neurotoxin." Bill Deagle, M.D.

In 1995, we were visited by Mary Lee Herron, who told us: "William Reed, back in Michigan, is dying. They don't think he will live through the day. " I asked what he was dying from and she said:
"He's having 6 or 8 seizures a day that can't be stopped." I asked if he was diabetic, using aspartame, having MS problems, dizziness, and vision problems. "Why yes", she responded. "How did you know?" I told Mary Lee to call him immediately and get him off the NutraSweet/Equal. She said, "but he might be dead". Finally, I heard her say to him, "William, Betty says you don't have to die, get off the NutraSweet." She went off to Florida and by the time she had returned he no longer had seizures. They had stopped within three days. She stood in the door and said, "Betty, do you realize if I had not stopped in Atlanta, William would be dead?!"

Now let's go forward 15 years. My husband just returned from Michigan where he met William Reed, still alive, and his lovely wife who could have been a widow. His surprised physician wrote a report of this deliverance. The doctor had not known how deadly aspartame is and what reactions it produces. What happened to William 15 years ago is no doubt happening to other diabetics everywhere. In 2004 the American Diabetes Assn had a RICO suit filed against them for pushing aspartame in diabetics with full knowledge. NutraSweet funds them. They got out of it with their power and continue to betray diabetics by pushing this addictive, excitoneurotoxic, carcinogenic, genetically engineered drug and adjuvant. This comes under Title 18, Section 1001 of the criminal code, which is what they originally used when FDA tried to have the manufacturer indicted.

"My father-in-law, Santiago ("Chago") Echiverria had spent his last 15 - 20 years of his life battling diabetes. He moved from Ashtabula, Ohio
(where he had retired from the Railroad), to Anasco, Puerto Rico.
For years "Chago" drank Equal in his many daily cups of coffee, and of course NutraSweet in his cold drinks.

"When we received word of his death in June of 1994, we made arrangements immediately to fly to Puerto Rico for the funeral.
Upon arrival, we were told that because of the large content of formaldehyde in his body, they immediately had to close the casket for it was seeping through his skin.

"His sister, Minerva Ortiz and Nydia Colon, told me that the funeral director said he had never seen a body deteriorate as quickly, and was
puzzled by the formaldehyde content even before embalming.

"Knowing what I know about the chemical components of aspartame, I believe Chago died, not of diabetes, but from the formaldehyde content
of his years of consuming aspartame through Equal and NutraSweet.

"Should you want to corroborate this report, you can do so by calling Nydia Colon in Ashtabula, Ohio. Chago was her father.


"One other report I received regarding the formaldehyde content from diet drinks was from an engineer who works in my office. His wife is an RN
at a hospital in Florida. Working with me, her husband has received much information on the adverse reactions to aspartame, which he would
take home for his wife to read.


"One particular night, she arrived home and told her husband that I had been right about aspartame's adverse effects. She said a patient had died because of diet drinks? Puzzled and inquisitive, she asked the doctor what he meant. He said that this particular patient had a high level of formaldehyde in his body. He continued to explain that this gentleman had stored cases of diet drinks in his garage, and because of the chemical breakdown in diet drinks when the temperature rises, he felt that those drinks, which had set for a lengthy period of time in his hot garage, had indeed contributed to his death.

"When the story was related to me, I was again incensed at a governmental agency that is not doing their job to protect innocent victims, only because of greed!

What did the aspartame industry have to say? They simply attempted to assassinate Dr. Alemany's character. Continually as independent studies show the problems the aspartame industry tries to rebut their findings but fail. With the Ramazzini Studies rebutted by the European Food Safety Authority, Herman Koeter resigned but not before confessing "We were pressured by industry to hijack science."


When Lane Shore became Mission Possible Chicago he told about his cancer and other problems from aspartame and that his diabetic wife was having all kinds of problems. She had worked for NutraSweet and couldn't believe they would allow it on the market if it did these things. No amount of documentation would convince her because as she admitted she was addicted. The free methyl alcohol, classified as a narcotic causes chronic methanol poisoning. This affects the dopamine system of the brain and causes addiction. First, she lost her feet and then her legs. She has had several operations on her eyes, is addicted to it and gives it to her children who now have problems of their own.

Last night in an emotional conversation Lane told me: "I've already lost 8 people in my family from aspartame and I'm desperately trying to protect my children. We must get this removed from the marketplace."

Dr. Russell Blaylock, neurosurgeon, and author of Excitotoxins: The Taste That Kills, www.russellblaylockmd.com stated "excitotoxins such as that found in aspartame can precipitate diabetes in persons who are genetically susceptible to the disease." He also states: "With the public concern over childhood obesity and diabetes, few are being told of the overwhelming evidence that early exposure to excitotoxins (as found in aspartame) consistently produce gross obesity and insulin resistant diabetes, just as we are seeing in our youth."

Studies worldwide link aspartame to the problems it causes. The award winning Italian Ramazzini 3 year study on 1,800 rats concluded that Aspartame "is a multipotential carcinogen."

How does Aspartame affect the pancreas in diabetic patients?

Roberts suggests, "There can be several outcomes. First, patients might be making too much insulin and can have severe hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) attacks. Aspartame can release almost as much insulin as glucose. It has been known for many years that oral and intravenous phenylalanine and other amino acids cause marked elevation of insulin. In my books, I go into this in great detail. On the one hand, we are talking about the stimulation of more insulin and hypoglycemia. Further study is needed to determine whether, over the long term, this will over stimulate the islets that make insulin. The other aspect is the diabetogenic state and loss of diabetic control through various mechanisms that include the wasting of insulin, the impairment of glucose transport, the increase of the growth hormone and glucagon, and perhaps blocking insulin receptors."

Why does Aspartame seem to aggravate diabetes?

Dr. Roberts states "Some of the reasons/mechanisms Aspartame might aggravate diabetes and hypoglycemia includes the following:

* Marked changes in appetite and weight as reflected by paradoxic weight gain or severe loss of weight.

* Excessive insulin secretion and depletion of the insulin reserve

* Possible alteration of cellular receptor sites for insulin, with ensuing insulin resistance -Neurotransmitter alterations within the brain and peripheral nerves

* The toxicity of each of the three components of aspartame (phenylalanine; aspartic acid: the methylester, which promptly becomes methyl alcohol or methanol), and their multiple breakdown products after exposure to heat or during prolonged storage."

What can be done to protect the pancreas from Aspartame?

Roberts states "that Aspartame products should be taken off the market because of my belief that this artificial sweetener is an imminent public health hazard. I have stated this recommendation to Congress and have mentioned it in many articles and texts."

FDA LAW: Are their laws the FDA must follow when a product becomes an imminent health hazard? Absolutely!

Finally, last year Michael Delaney who said he was with the FDA called. I asked why they had not answered this imminent health hazard petition? He said: "It ain't going to happen." I said, "By law, it must be answered in writing. Furthermore, people are sick and dying the world over." He answered: "We have to depopulate!"

We are dealing with the greatest scandal in American health history, and an epidemic that could even spread further with the Codex agreement, as they have refused to ban it. Don't go from poison to another poison, Splenda. Dr. James Bowen says if they go from aspartame to Splenda, a chlorocarbon poison, they can maintain the reactions to aspartame and pick up those from Splenda. Particular warning to diabetics: Researchers found that diabetic patients using sucralose showed a statistically significant increase in glycosylated hemoglobin, a marker that is used to assess glycemic control in diabetic patients. According to the FDA, "increases in glycosolation in hemoglobin imply lessening of control of diabetes." Citizens for Health and D.C. Attorney James Turner filed a petition with the FDA to ban Splenda.

Acesulfame potassium (Sunett) Dr. H. J. Roberts wrote that it stimulates insulin secretion in a dose-dependent fashion, thereby possibly aggravating reactive hypoglycemia. He also wrote it apparently produced lung tumors, breast tumors, rare types of tumors in other organs such as the thymus gland, several forms of leukemia and chronic respiratory disease in several rodent studies, even when less than maximum doses were given.

Be particularly alerted that many times in gum they will blend all these sweeteners. Aspartame works like nitroglycerin under the tongue, goes through saliva straight to the brain.
