Please, please understand that your body works as a whole and the main reason that people get sick is because of poor choices in food and lifestyle e.g. too much (any in my opinion) meat, dairy and fatty food, too little fresh, raw fruits and vegetables and not enough exercise. Sick does not just happen. If you get sick, you need to change the lifestyle that made you sick in the first place, not just treat the symptoms.
I am really concerned that you would feed a heart patient a hamburger, possibly the worst food on the planet for the heart, without supervision, in order to 'clean' the liver. How do you think it got congested in the first place?
By doing something like this, of course you will get temporary relief of symptoms - things tend to work according to their nature and fat caused the gallbladder to constrict, thus expelling stones but the regime you suggest, will simply put more strain on the liver, the heart, the arteries, the renal system; in fact the whole body. You are treating your (and your father's) body in the same way that a normal medical doctor would: Treat the symptoms and when they ease, assume all is well.
Each to their own I know and it is your decision how you treat your body, but please take advice before stuffing more hamburgers (if you did this to your father too) down a heart patients throat.
By the way, I have had severe
Gallstones in the past, some of the attacks lasting a week but I have cleansed, not just my liver but my whole body and now eat a clean, flesh-free diet as I do not EVER want to go though that again.
Please walk in the sunshine and look after all of you.
