While I would agree that I would like to see some things done to increase the traffic, though not to increase the trolls and spammers, those numbers still look pretty good from where I'm sitting.

Alexa Traffic Rank: 850,024
Then again, the number of websites in the US is about 250,000,000 which is about two and a half times larger than it was back in 2001. Put into perspective, I rather suspect the same or greater growth is true in number of websites as well. The past 10 years have seen a huge growth in the number and rank of social sites and a great number of commercial enterprises and news organizations have put lots of effort and money into growing their sites. Many of the sites which have leapfrogged CZ in the rankings have done so more as a result of their traffic increases than any declines of CZ.
When it comes to alternative health sites, Mercola and Natural News are far, far more money and profit oriented than CureZone and thus put far, far more effort into increasing traffic and resultant income. Both send out daily newsletters complete with commercial and paid sponsor links. CureZone remains solidly number 3 behind those two when it comes to alternative health sites.
Thus, while CZ's actual rank has fallen, it's relative rank may not be that far off what it has been historically. Among the many measurements taken of a website is "Daily Reach", which is a measurement of the percentage of website viewers which visit a particular site. In that measurement, Alexa shows a significant increase for CZ over the past two years.
Yeah, Mercola does seem like "Ask Lazlo" a bit, with all the advertisements and continued expansion of his product lines (remember when he eschewed practically all supplements?). Nevertheless a good site for alternative health info. And, despite the sales hype, his products are very good ones.
Actually there are many health forums on the net with similar formats, just none as big or well known as CZ. CZ may not be the big daddy of alternate health sites, but is for sure the daddy of alternative health forum sites.
