This admission by researchers would suggest
that unlike the claims by the Obama administration
and the British Petroleum spinsters, the oil
disaster may be with us for decades~~
in Gulf "VERY RESISTANT to further biodegradation" -- "Full toxic form for decades"
Gulf Oil Spill and Seafood Safety Government Panel, House Committee Energy & Commerce, Energy and Environment, August 19, 2010:
Lisa Suatoni, Senior Scientist Natural Resources Defense Council, Oceans Program.
Feds provide further evidence that FORMATION COLLAPSED around BP's Macondo well
According to National Incident Commander Thad Allen, the two possible reasons that are being discussed regarding what is blocking the annulus are:
1) During the cementing phase of the static kill, cement went down the length of the 13,000+ foot well, made a u-turn back up into the annulus, hardening in place.
2) There has been "a collapse in the formation" around the Macondo well.
Press Briefing by National Incident Commander Thad Allen, August 19, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. EDT:
I've had some good news on the health front, i'm now in touch with a researcher at the University of South Florida.
I just hope this brings in some help for all the people down here that are sick.

That IS good news Julie. I think that there
are many people whose health is adversely
affected and yet that information is not
being mainstreamed so people know that the
oil and fumes do have an effect on health.
Please share with us whatever info you
find that can help others. I also hope
you are able to leave the area ultimately
since this situation does not appear to be
an easy fix as the government would have
us believe. I am worried about you.
Well, here it is, I got another dead end. The people down here who are getting sick are throwaways who won't open their mouths in public because they can't.
I can get media attention, I have a relative who will help me, and I can't think of a soul who has been sick who is in any position to open their mouths in public. There are a lot of good reasons, basically trouble with various branches of the us government.
Or they are afraid of losing their jobs.
I am thinking it's something in the air, the gulf near us seems to be ok. We had two guys in our shop today who make a living longlining for sharks in the gulf, and they say the water is OK as soon as you are away from the coast.
They say it's clear, and you can see all the way to the bottem. They have been eating what they've caught, and not getting sick. They say that it OK as long as you don't fish in the restricted areas, which by the way, you also aren't allowed to enter.
I am keeping track of my own symptoms, and my husbands, at least there will be some sort of a record.
No new heart attacks, just the poor guy with the flesh eating bacteria.

things getting back to someplace, at least, that APPEARS normal?
Where are all the subs, where are all the feds, where is the politburo, where have all the conspiracies gone??????
Boy, I'm disappointed!
Louisiana State University fish toxicologist Kevin Kleinow has found that the dispersants used in the Gulf increase the amount of toxins the fish absorb and then, once exposed, makes it harder for the fish to get rid of the toxins through normal biological processes.
Here's more video from the same person as the one that was removed.
Hopefully they'll be up longer than the last one!
(129589 -you've got to be kidding!!!!! Or trying to push people's buttons????? Or - are you actually serious? I have to wonder, what is your motivation for taunting others, some of whom are actually living in the middle of this mess????? Everyone is entitled to their opinions without being ridiculed. There is still freedom of speech (last I heard) and posters deserve respect from others who disagree!!!!)
I was giving my opinion and replying to anothers post, not taunting anyone, what part of my post was disrespecting anyone? You really need to stop taking my replies to others, personally.
You do not get to censor my post either Mira, so stop trying to. You bang on about free speech, and yet you constantly try to stop others from exercising theirs.
Spud - I got the wrong name in there, it's corrected now.
PS - not in regards to your post, but asking for respect (in general) is not censoring, but simply asking for respect! As I'm sure you'll agree. I hadn't posted on this thread, so I wasn't taking it personally, I just want this forum to be a place where no one is ridiculed for their opinions.
I agree, although respect is earned, not something anyone is automatically entitled to, and disagreeing with another's opinion, or holding an opinion that differs from others, is not disrespecting.
The poster was asking the question, where are all these dire predictions now. I'm sure that those predictions and Conspiracy theories caused a lot of unnecessary fear and worry for those directly effected by the disaster.
You in turn were ridiculing the opinion of the poster by trying to police what people here post.

I think Spud & 129589 is the same person. Or at least all their posts sound just alike. I tend to ignore them except when I see them post a bunch in a row and then I know the drama is on! So just like a train wreck, I have to look and see what they posted always wishing that I had not. I am going to try really hard this time to never open & read another one of their posts!
...and of course you had to publicly get that point across instead of just doing it!
Do you honestly feel that just because more than one person says something that you dont agree with that they must be the same person?
This is obviously a huge part of the problem with the internet.
It has a tendency to alter some peoples' minds and make them lose sight of reality.
