this is long but hope you can read it., If not, is there anything you can recommend alternatively or herb wise to help sciatic low back pain that is pinching a nerve and causing my whole calf and foot to be nub, pins and needles and have other other sensations that are making it hard to walk and function..my main problem now pain worse is my leg a lot more than my back which seems to be improving. Chiropractic not covered and I am afraid of drugs and doctors. (IN fact, I currently do not have a doctor, just a chiropractor who is not helping due to lack of insurance coverage and infrequent visits. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ this is not letting me separate it into paragraphs making it hard to read so I am going to post it as separate posts instead. BACKGROUND
I have been in 25 car wrecks (only a few my fault) including being run over by a car while walking and a 55 mph crash where I had internal injuries and had to be cut out of car.
Due to this my back has been weakened and I have had a severely herniated disk 6 times.
I refused a neurologist advice to have immediate surgery when the car ran over me and pain was shooting to me foot and it took 25 minutes to walk to next room and could not take shower for 3 months as could not lift my foot high enough. I would scream with pain if moved a 1/2 inch in bed.
Through it took him 15 months visits (first 3 times a week and then 2 times and then one time_ it finally was fixed by a chiropractor who had fixed my other herniations where pain shot to my knee not my foots. The neurologist was so angry I refused surgery he screamed at me when I went to leave "you will be back I guarantee it you will not be able to stand the pain
I have been able with rest to walk about an hour now and was doing as fine as he could get me.

CURRENT PROBLEM
THEN I went to do a lot of cleaning for an inspection and some lifting and went to bed fine. The next day which was 7 weeks ago, when I got up to use the bathroom, it felt like I sat down wrong or something because pain shot to my foot which went numb. (sciatic nerve pain).
I was completely bedridden for 3 weeks living in my bedroom and eating from a cooler.
Three shifts/movements in my back, knee and groin have taken place when I walked each resulting in further immediate symptoms.

MY OTHER INJURIES SINCE IT HAPPENED

I was walking to bathroom and I felt a loud pop in my back or hip maybe. Immediately I got worst.
My entire leg, groin and hip became a massive muscle cramp, charlie horse worst than I ever had. Also my foot shifted from numb to burning nerve pain I never had experienced before. I was screaming but no way to get to ER as no car (car problems)., I used a lot of alternative nervines and herb tinctures I had been trying, along with folding and taking a pain pill (codeine 3) and an anti-inflammatory but no help. finally an hour later it had improved to where ZI could fall asleep. when I awoke the pain was back to numb in foot and regular sciatic pain radiating across my hip and down lg to foot as well as through the groin. No more muscle cramp then.

One day I went to get out of car, as one leg was moving out of car but butt still in place, I felt/heard a pop in my groin area where the hip meets the body. I went into my destination and sat down. I soon noticed my entire leg from knee down went numb (except some in the inside of calf is not numb where it has remained to this day. this is worse than the back/sciatic pain which has lessened.

Currently, my leg is in pain. It varies in nerve sensations from numb to pins and needles to odd sensory sensations. Affects most of my calf from knee down and my toes and foot.

Walking is hard and I am walking with a pronounced limp with leg out to side in n odd gait which is causing muscle cramps. I can only get a short distance like from handicapped parking to store entry where I need a motorized cart. I cannot go places where any walking beyond several yards is required.
Yesterday, my foot was bad and felt like a bee sting lind of over my entire foot and felt swollen almost with lots of odd sensations and pins and needles along with areas of numbness. Hurts night and day. first thing I feel when I wake up. Chiropractor recommended I go swimming and felt my leg the whole time. Hard to get one's mind off it.

MY PROBLEM
my HMO changed and so no longer covers hardly any chiropractic. About one visit a month but had to use several all at once when this happened. Now rationing them out every 2 weeks will run out in a month with no more till January.

I have only 2 visits left till January whereas before either paid one a week or someone else was at fault and paid.
Due to this I have cut back visits as extremely poor. Lots of other problems going on especially financially. electric shutoffs and car problems that went on several weeks. Have no money to pay doctor though maybe I can swing a few visits with chiropractor. He has not been able to adjust so far despite several visits. now on a every 2 weeks visit and then no adjustment...no pop...no movement in low back I could detect.
He says he feels a small shift but I never feel it, I am doing self chiropractor twists in desperation since I cannot go to him a lot when I wake up (several times a night) and am really relaxed. Have gotten several pops in lumbar area where it originated which I think it whey back is hurting less. Before it hurt when I lifted my leg while lying but now not that much though still having some back pain. At night cry for 4 hours trying to sleep. It hurts more when lying ..at first it was excruciating to walk and I feel to floor and had to crawl on my stomach to get to phone and help..could not even crawl on hands and knees as pain was so intense. could not sit more than 3 seconds without screaming. Using bathroom was bad as hurt to sit.

Now I can sit hours ok but leg hurts all the time and numb and nerve sensations of varying types. I just got a mattress from thrift store as mine was so bad and saggy from money sister gave me for car which is better since we replaced the computer as I think bad mattress was making me worst. did not hurt to the pint I cried last night but leg hurt every thine I woke up and numbness and other awful feeling nerve pains and sensations are driving me nuts.

I had been very suicidal at least 9 days of the last 7 week spending my days calling crisis lines all the time trying to make it through my life.
Is there any any thing I can do to help my back unpinch this nerve and anything that would make my leg feel normal again.
I have no doctor at this point, do NOT want surgery and very reluctant to take drugs like anti-inflammatories as I have been told I had diabetes a year ago and my mom wound up on dialysis with 9 heart attacks it caused and told it was from taking NSAID drugs such as the ibuprofen. I am taking (I am taking about 1 pills every 1-2 days depending on how I feel (label says take 4 times a day) but I am scared as do not want to wind up on dialysis. last 3 diabetic tests showed normal as I am eating lots of raw and became a vegan. I was exercising but now can't due to my leg (I had been walking)and this inability to walk is bad for my diabetes. Despite normal a1c/fasting blood Sugar test, I have never had a normal test blood glucose when home testing.

A nurse said diabetic neuropathy is more in the foot and I think more bilateral so I think my foot and leg numbness is due to sciatica, not diabetic neuropathy. a relative just lost all his toes and part of foot this week so that is also in my mind. do not want this to lead me to that.
Last time despite 2 allopathic doctor notes and my own and chiropractic pleadings, my HMO turned down additional visits.
I have distrust of allopaths and drugs and definite surgery is out.

Are there any things I can do on my own to help this nerve damage go away. Afraid the longer it takes the more it could be permanent and is destroying the quality of my life.

I did not take enough but some of the things I have tried (but not doing often enough) are colon cleansing, nervines, circulation herbs and other tinctures of chaparral, burdock root, skullcap. lobelia (great for muscle cramps), hawthorne, ginger, cayenne, ginkgo, horse chestnut, horse tail, willow/meadowsweet, bilberry and oat seed. but only taking about once a day as not a lot of money but maybe could up that some.
also using external applications of tiger balm or muscle rubs and wintergreen mixed in. brief hot and cold showers and formentations of raw apple cider vinegar which seems to help. Occasional heat pad and ice.

This is a reply to # 1,676,476I've recently learned about Tamanu oil from someone here posting about it on HVs' forum. It is supposed to help nerve pain when applied topically. I haven't tried it yet, but plan to. I have sciatica due to a bad vertebra in my lower back and scoliosis. It is his original formula that contains comfrey root. It is supposed to heal and regenerated discs and vertebrae. Dr. Mom used it to heal her mom's osteoporosis and her degenerated disc. Her mom was bed ridden and she was once in a wheelchair due to pain. I also use the oil and apply it topically all over my back, hips and pelvis. Because of the oil and capsules, I have felt shifting and moving and my spine feels straighter. I haven't had it confirmed with x-rays, but I can feel the vertebra ridges in my lower back where the spine was torqued.

I want to thank you and others who have emailed me. I am sorry but I feel behind on my emailing people back. Please forgive me but so much is going on right now in my personal life.
Actually, I have been told recently that I have scoliosis again and I can feel this in my low back..maybe that is exacerbating my chance of injury.
I am a big fan of Dr Christopher and Schulze but want to pass on some info to you if you are not aware of it.
When taking herbs, Dr Schulze who was Dr Christopher's leading students and took
Dr Christopher's incurable program even further than Christopher says one should almost always take herbs in the form of organic (or wild crafted) tinctures.
this is because herbs in capsules are rarely absorbed and sometimes are even burnt in the powdering process.
The best way to take herbs is in the form of organic or wildcrafted tinctures.
You want organic (or wildcrafted from a good source) herbs because they are 7-20 times higher in the phytochemicals and phytonutrients that cure and prevent disease.
I am not sure but it seems the herbs for the b, f and c you linked to are his capsuled herbs. Dr Christopher when alive used fresh or organic herbs often in teas or extract form. when he died, his heirs continued his school of natural healing and its product line of Dr Christopher's formula. Unfortunately, they switched from good herbs to the cheaper conventional herb in capsules and this is not by any means optimal.
I have noticed in the past, when I could not afford to buy organic some effect from conventional herbs but for best healing, organic tinctures are by far better and likely faster.
I do have a source for organic tincture of b.f and c (and b and b)made by a student of Dr Schulze who sells both Dr Christoper and Dr Schulze herbs in the form of good organic tinctures.

As far as B and B tincture., I just looked in Dr Christopher's book the school of natural healing and he says this formula is for motor nerves, and other unrelated things like dizziness or epilepsy or hearing loss, but I feel for sciatica one would be best served using his nerve formula he called relax-ese or his nine her formula.
I have posted the formula and will email it to you (or others needing it).
I can also send you the attachments from the pages in his book where he gives his recommendations for sciatica, tells more about the 3 formulas and tells how to make them (use organic bulk herbs and 80-100 proof vodka if making them yourself) --the relax-ese and the b, f and c both rebuild the nerves and the nerve sheath. And I can also send you what he says in his book about the b and b formula so you can decide if it is better for you or the relax-ese and know more about the b,f and c.
When I first looked it up I did not think the b, f and c would help me as though it rebuilds the vertebrae, my problems is the nerve is being pinched by herniation but when I went and relooked at the link I posted on it earlier taken from a video I have by Christopher, I saw where it does rebuild the nerves.nerve sheath so that turned out to be a good suggestion.
To you I would recommend the things I was doing in the first post (I am not doing it enough or regularly due to lack of funds currently) along with the b, f and c in organic tincture form, the relax-ese(9 nerve herb formula) in organic tincture form (I think this has to be made as I know of no source which sells this particular formula in organic tincture form but Dara from healmarketplace might make it custom made for you if you ask her but it is cheaper and easier to make it yourself. Also if you want the b and b formula.
I am also hearing that inversion therapy is helpful so going to try to lie upside down on a slide or make a slant board to do this. I saw more on this earlier in this forum.
But check your inbox and also send me your email address if you want me to send an attachment of the pages in his book where he discusses what to do for sciatica and about these three formulas.
Also I am sending you the link for a bigger version of the incurables save your life manual and the link to the Schulze save your life video and 700 page manual.
but the big one has an incredible chapter not included in the original manual that discusses a women with lordosis (swayback) who was going to have to have a rod put in her spine who recovered with b, f and c formula. My sister had kyphosis (hunchback) scoliosis of course is the spine curving sideways, kyphosis is it swerving forward and lordosis is it swerving outwards too much.
I would think definitely this would help all curvatures of the spine. My sister was told without this rod in her back, she would become quadriplegic very soon and I did not know then what I do now.
she had this many years ago and just told me she thinks it may have broken as she is getting scoliosis despite the metal rod in her back. she awoke to horrific pain cut from the tailbone to top of neck and from groin to top of neck. She said she will never let them touch her again even to take it out when she first had it and complains to this day 15 or more years later of it feeling like she is lying on bricks.
Had we known about this formula and its success with curvature of the spine, all this intense suffering could have been avoided.
This manual also tells of a women with no disk it had completely deteriorated away that she could do nothing but lie in bed who completely regrew a new vertebra so I will send you the link to this big save your life manual and these case histories (plus the video and other manual) so you can read it. (chapter 26 and 27 also see pages I will include the page number or chapter number so you can find it says this source is kind of hard to read the manual as not in a easily readable form but all 1344 pages of it are there. someone recently and graciously sent this link to me.
I also have several pages form other books on backache etc by Linda page, prescription for nutritional healing, Dr Christopher on various nervine herbs etc that are already uploaded form books into my documents that I can send you in attachments if you send me an email address as they cannot be sent through this system that should be of help to you and your mom..this is where I got dome of the things I am doing that have improved me (my back is doing a lot better) but my leg is still having a lot of problems with nerve pain, numbness etc. It is this I am not sure how to fix..even if I improve the condition of the nerve, it is still being pinched unless there is a way to make a herniation go away besides surgery and chiropractic..maybe the bone, flesh and cartilage formula will help with this as you did mention that although I did not see that in his book. But do send me an email address so I can forward this info to you.
