I'd like to add something that may be important.
My Ferritin level seems to be on the low side.
Ferritin 60
Normal range is 24 - 336 ng/mL
I'm thinking I should get on an Iron supplement to get that up between 70 & 90. It's my understanding that this could be causing some of my Thyroid issues.
What's a good type of Iron to take?
Plant irons are not as easily absorbed but also not constipating. I would recommend nettle leaf, which also supports the thyroid and adrenals. It will be a slower but will not cause the constipation and will provide the additional benefits.
I just got all my labs back and I'm not sure what it all means.
TSH 4.28
Free T4 1.0
Free T3 2.9
Reverse T3 289
My TSH isn't even close to optimal(1.3-1.8)
Levels above 3.0 are considered indicative of possible hypothyroidism.
My FT4 is close to optimal(1.2-1.3)
My FT3 is close to optimal(3.2-3.3)
I have no clue what my RT3 means. Seems like it's on the high side.
Normal range is 90-350
Could this be blocking my body from using the FT3?
I have an explanation of this in an older post:
Also, I've been taking my temps in the morning when I wake up and the last two days it's been 97 and 96.4. That's using a Geratherm thermometer under the arm while still laying in bed.
BTW, I'm trying to use this site to interpret the results. This is where I got the optimal levels.

BTW, I was tested for Hoshimoto's and those tests came back normal.
Overall it looks like your thyroid is underactive.
