I am having a great time re-feeding as the tastes have been quite sensational, exciting and immensely satisfying. I am feeling amazing emotionally and getting much stronger and healthier physically... i can almost say i don't feel weak any more, but not quite.
All things considered i believe i chose a good time to break, otherwise risking that the above paragraph be written in quite a different way.
Easing out of this fast very comfortably and without any setbacks. Still having mostly juices, but since our limitations seem to vary so much from fast to fast, i always want to test them a little bit and have found this time around that i am able to enjoy quite a bit more freedom than expected in including some whole fruits in the plan... which is great because chewing is quite exciting to me at this point.
So the foods i have enjoyed have been about 80% Organic and include: pineapple juice, tomato juice, grapefruit juice, strawberry juice. I tried carrot/celery/beet juice on day one believing from smelling the produce that i would enjoy it, but as with breaking my previous fast my body was not ready for this as yet. Another important part of my diet has been the daily supplement of my highly assimilable vitamins and minerals (Intramax).
I have also enjoyed the cooked juices of tomato, garlic, green, brown and red onion, celery, chili peppers, parsley, beet greens, radish greens, radishes, ginger, carrot, beet, red potato juice (without the starch left at the bottom) and broccoli. As a special treat i include some chopped portabella mushrooms, one of the few foods i have eaten un-juiced and spice it with curry and cayanne pepper, my two favorites.
The parsley, beet greens and radish greens were chosen first due to their perishability and in the next soups these items will be replaced by green, purple and black kale, red and green chard, bok choy, and also asparagas.
In addition to the unjuiced mushrooms i have also enjoyed watermelon which i chew and spit out most of the pulp... and the insides of grapes (no skins). Aside from the small amount of mushroom, the first fruit i dared eat and swallow whole (at about 1.3 days) was a fairly small number of organic cherries and since they agreed with me (did not make me feel weak or sick), it gave me confidence to have more which also was fine... and later that evening to chew and swallow some whole papaya.
I think that about covers it and really i don't believe things could be going any better. It's a great feeling to be eating 80% organic and i only wish that it was 100 : ).
My heart remains untested but i have to say it feels very good and i have a strong sense that it has been healed quite a bit further over this fast, though still not "to completion".
blessings mighty. glad to hear you are doing well. re-feeding sounds so excited!!! i wont be breaking my fast with any juices but i do plan to be eating alot of the same foods you have been. im so very much looking forward to eating watermelon. and grapes and organic black cherries aswell. among other thing!!!
Thank you Soldier and same to you :). Re-feeding is amazing and i look forward to your enjoyment of this :).
hope things continue to go well for you. keep everyone updated.
Thank you and will do.
btw, what does everyone have agienst raisens??? i have some prunes i cant wait to dig my teeth into!!!
As Chiron intimated, dried fruit is a far more digestively complex food than fruit in its original form and if we confuse a half handful of raisins with a half handful of grapes at a digestively delicate stage, we can get ourselves into some trouble.
