This is my 12th or 13th 40 dayer. 2 MCs ago I had a deadline job and got caught out and about without my lemonade somewhere around day 30 or so. I started getting a bit wonky and needed to function so I went to a juice bar and ordered some veggie juice. I was very apprehensive about what the abrupt change was gonna do after being on a "by the book" MC that long. Well both to my surprise and delight I got this wondefull burst of energy and feeling of wellness so for my last 2 40 dayers I have switched to veggie and fruit juices from the MC at day 20 or so. After 20+/- days on the MC the system is relatively clean and empty of any solids so those vitamin mineral and live enzyme juices really get absorbed by the system pronto. The feeling of wellbeing is nothing short of delightful. With this switching protocol I will still keep cleansing and at the same time be infusing my system with megadoses or readily assimilable nutrients and live enzymes.
As with the MC I strain the juices to minimize any fiber that would keep the digestive system active and the peristaltic action in my colon that would be required to push the fiber out. In addition straining out the fiber keeps me from getting hungry. I still keep the same routine of the lax tea at night to keep the plumbing clear and keep the toxins moving out. I was also planning on doing the SWF every morning but I'm playing that one by ear at this point.
Yesterday I broke with fresh made watermelon juice and OMG it was pure heaven!! I have been juicing for many years but had never juiced watermelon before. Today I made juice using canteloupe, pears, and strawaberry another 1st for me and hot diggity damn was that good!! Tomorrow I'm gonna try watermelon with blueberries. Can't wait!! I had a masive projectile evacuation after the watermelon juice yesterday and I barely made it to the loo. We'll see what happens this morning. At this rate I'll still keep doing the lax tea at night and prolly only do the SWF every 3rd days or so.
Most things I've read always recommend that you eat your fruits in the morning so I am making my morning juice from fruits. For mid day I am doing one of my standard juice made from carrots, celery, parsley, beets, apple and ginger. In the evening my other standard green juice made from cucumber, celery, cilantro, spinach, apple and ginger. I also keep drinking plenty of water in between the juices.
Hope you enjoy "the switch" as much as I have. I suggest that you make
the switch to green juices. My basic green juice is:
2 cucumbers
2 or 3 celery stalks
parsley
cilantro
your choice of green like spinach, kale, dandelion, collards etc
2 small or one large apple
a nice chunk of ginger
Greens like kale and dandelion collards can get pretty bitter
so go easy at first. The cucumber and apples besides their own
benefits serve to dilute and sweeten the juice.
I've continued on with 99% raw amd having fun discovering and inventing
my own raw dishes. I just posted a recipe I came up with on the raw food
forum czech it out. YouTube is chock full of raw recipes. I also keep drinking at least
a quart of this green juice daily.
Czech out the story of Dave the raw food trucker on You Tube. Pretty inspiring
