Hi Unyquity,
I've spent the past few days perusing through important threads and I must say, quite a forum you have here! I admire you and others for helping so many people. This is a long post so thanks for taking the time to read this, I know you must be very busy with helping so many of us.
I originally posted in constipation/other forums. A link to my original post titled is here: HELP!! BENTONITE Clay/Psyllium has caused me EXTREME constipation :(
http://curezone.com/forums/am.asp?i=1637716
I got advice from several people in that thread as well as Willowly/Iolite suggesting I post over here at Natural Healing. Since that post I've ordered an omega 8003 juicer (haven't started juicing yet), Dr. Bernard Jensen's "A guide to better bowel care", increase by intake of salad/veggies.
So in a nutshell..I took organic psyllium husk (organic india brand) and bentonite clay (sonnes #7) last fall just a couple times, dranks tons of water, and got extremely constipated. Since then my bowels have never really been the same, my bile is blocked I'm sure, consequently peristalsis is at a stand still, and I'm pretty sure I probably have parasites/candida (definitely)/leaky gut/inflamed bowel (definitely) (please refer to the link above to my first post for the rest of the story)
I've done a ton of research here on IF1 and IF2 and read these links you've posted in other threads:

But I still read other threads and info on how senna and cascara Can be habit forming/create dependency. Andreas Moritz says so here: http://curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=495895#i and Hveragerthi posted something here in "Truth in Medicine" forum: http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1538443
I don't deny that Senna and Cascara stimulate the peristaltic action of the colon thereby strengthening the musclulature of the large intestine...what I am worried about is once I eventually get off of them, my bowel will not squeeze on its own Because its gotten used to being STIMULATED by something I ingested, rather than my own bile.
I'm not here to waste your time and start a debate, I definitely came for help...I'm just afraid I'll screw things up more.
Is there anyone that has used IF1 and then gotten off of it and still had 3 bowel movements a day? If there is and you have threads on CZ about your story, please post them because I know there are others with this fear of creating a lazy bowel.
In regards to IF2, it has psyllium/bentonite in it, which plugged me up last fall when I took them either together or alone with plenty of water. So I am afraid to take that again as well..for fear of making my constipation worse.
Since my first post on curezone a week or so ago, I've had slightly better formed poop but at times it was extremely dark. For the past several days I've been going just once a day right after waking. Today it was much harder formed than the past few days and not satisfying. I definitely feel full in my gut since the one morning BM only empties probably what I had a few days prior. For the past 3-4 days I've had tons of salad with olive oil, ACV and raw minced garlic sometimes, fruits, and minimal meat and no bread/rice/pasta.
A quick background on me:
20 something guy, been active all my life, generally didn't have a problem with constipation before this P/B fiasco (was regular: ~3 times/day), eat mostly organic (no S.A.D diet), eat plenty of fruits, just increased my intake of veggies, drink 65-80 oz of spring water a day, eat meat but not in excess, no milk/yogurt.
What doesn't help my constipation: prunes/prune juice, SWF, oxypowder, and dr. christopher's lbb bought from iherb. com (helped at first, then stopped working)
I would appreciate any suggestion/thoughts you may have. I really want to heal this and get regular..I'm just concerned about IF1 giving me a quick fix but having to use it the rest of my life and IF2 making things worse with the psyllium.
Thanks so much for your time.
Hi wanderlust, to the forum!
It's very late and I've just seen/read your post. I've got to get in bed in order to be able to get up tomorrow to go to work so this will be short, just wanted to let you know that Uny has a few people she's coaching on the IP right now so it might be a few days before she'll be able to answer your post but she will as soon as she can.
I'm glad to hear you ordered the Omega juicer, I've got the Omega Vert and I love it. Here is a great article on juicing in case you haven't found it yet on the forum. JUICE-FASTING: The powerful healing therapy.
"Is there anyone that has used IF1 and then gotten off of it and still had 3 bowel movements a day? If there is and you have threads on CZ about your story, please post them because I know there are others with this fear of creating a lazy bowel."
I haven't made a post about this because it's just happened in the last couple of weeks. I've been on the IF#1 for a very long time. I wasn't working so it never bothered me that I'd have to go to the bathroom at any given time during the day. Two weeks ago I went back to work, it was supposed to be part time but it's been more like 7 hours a day. I stopped taking the IF#1 the first day I went to work because I didn't know about the bathroom situation and I've been off of it now for two weeks.
I have been constipated my whole life so I was kinda worried that I might get that way again even though I knew better than that, it was still a concern in the back of my mind. I've done the IF#2 off and on for months now and I've cleaned my colon to the point where it works on it's own. I've had at least 3 bowel movements, sometimes 4, everyday since I started work and that is on my own with no IF1 or IF2. When we cleanse our bodies, even a little bit they start working more like they are supposed to. The herbs in the bowel cleanse increase the peristalic action of the intestines, the IF1 gets the bowels moving and the colon squeezing and the IF2 scrubs out the hardened fecal matter.
There really is absolutely nothing to worry about with the IF#1 or the IF#2. It is NOT addicting at all, it simply helps your colon to operate on it's own once the colon is clean.
The IF#2 has many more herbs than just Bentonite and Psyllium, here is the ingredient list: Organic Psyllium Seed & Husk, Flax Seed, Apple/Fruit Pectin, Slippery Elm Bark, Marshmallow Root, Peppermint Leaf, Bentonite Clay & Activated Charcoal. When you make a P&B shake you only have the two ingredients and they can be very clogging.
It seems that my body responds to the least little herbal cleansing/healing really fast. Everyone is different in how long it takes to respond and heal. If I'm remembering correctly Dr. Schulze said it took him 2-3 years to cleanse his colon completely. I'm not near done but my body is already working like it has never worked before!
Let us know how you like your juicer when you get it.

I have also been battling constipation recently and this is my first time hearing about IF1 and IF2. It seems like they are an herbal colon cleansing product. Do you know where I can find more info on IF1 and IF2? Thank you.

Hi sandie,
You can read all about the complete colon cleanse here: [FAQ] Healing Cleanse: Colon....Working File Thread you'll find all the links that will tell you all about the IF1 & IF2 in that post.
Welcome to the forum BTW. ;)
Willow
Thank you so for the warm welcome Willowley. I really appreciate you sharing your story and congrats on everything working the way it should! :) That definitely put me a little more at ease. I am running out of options so I'm just going to order from Uny's storefront but I'm not sure which product to order. Do I get the combo that has IF2 ground flax or whole flax? Whats the difference? I've heard ground flax can go rancid? Also, I would like to do a parasite cleanse, should I do that during or after the bowel cleanse? Is the parasite combo necessary or will either the liquid/powder alone suffice? Also, I will leaving very soon to travel for a long duration (~1.5-2 months)..I'll be on the road a lot. Do you/anyone have any suggestions for making this cleanse easier to do while on the road traveling? I know I won't be able to juice but I'll try to eat as healthy as possible.. Thanks!
I'm sorry I didn't get back to you before you ordered.
I've always used the IF2 with the ground flaxseed and I keep it in a glass canning jar in my kitchen cabinet, it has never gone rancid.
The time to do a parasite cleanse is when you're doing a 30 colon cleanse. Uny has a 15 day and a 30 day cleanse in the Storefront.
Unyworm Combo! Dry & Liquid Parasite Herbs (15 days)
Unyworm Combo! Dry & Liquid Parasite Herbs (30 days)
It is more beneficial if you do the combo of the dry and liquid plus it's cheaper to get them as a combo instead of buying them separate.
Thanks for letting us know about the difference in the description for the IF1s. I've told Uny about it, her electric went off a little while ago but as soon as it comes back on she'll fix it.
As for traveling while doing the colon cleanse, I don't think it will be a problem for you once you get used to how it reacts in your body. You'll get used to how many hours it is after you eat when doing the cleanse before you have to have a BM. If you see it's a problem with finding a bathroom you can always adjust the time you take the IF1s accordingly. You'll be taking the IF2 several times a day because we want to make sure some of it is always in our system doing it's work. Just remember to always take the IF1 with food or with a dose of the IF2 and you'll do just fine.
Let us know how it goes.
Willow
Uny would change that to the 30 day for you if you PM her and let her know before it's shipped tomorrow.
