Hello everybody! I'm nearing the end of day 7 of my fast. Its funny.. the week has gone by pretty quick, but the hours so very slow. I haven't been able to access a scale lately so I can't tell you how much weight I lost although it seems that I am getting slimmer each day using the "eye test."

I ran a few errands yesterday: going to the bank and returning a book to the library. Also, went to the driving range at noon and hit about 100 golf balls. Nothing too strenuous, but that was probably the most active I've been the past couple of days. Just been laying around for the most part.. and honestly sometimes it sucks. Like that feeling that you can't fall asleep. I'm not trying to sleep, but I guess my body/brain gets tired of being the the same position that long. Mighty.. I have no idea how you've been doing 23 hours a day..pretty amazing. Much props to you.

Food dream last night-I have no idea who the guy was but I punched him 3-4 times and took his tofu. This was at a bus stop I believe. For whatever reason we both had those white to-go boxes and I had food in mine... can't remember what. Anyways, I didn't take his all of his food.. he had a lot... just maybe 4-5 pieces with the fork.. I think I ate one and just put the rest into my to-go box...oh and BTW it was in this red sauce.. looked great and I'm sure it tasted just as good.. can't remember LOL. I do feel bad that I punched someone in my dream though. It was pretty real.

Also, I'm happy to report that I finally got the fasting smelling ability! Yes! I wanted to make sure it was the real thing, but there was one instance when my roommate was making food and my door was closed and I could smell it... ok pretty iffy. BUT THEN when I was showering.. right when the water started coming out of the shower head.. I could smell it. It was crazy. I could smell the water. I've been constantly smelling or trying to smell some distant thing all week but it hasn't worked till now. Its raining here too and I just got done sitting on my balcony smelling the rain. I'm sure its not most people's idea of fun, but its very fun to me.

So thats about it.. I have been drinking roughly the same amount of water (1 liter) a day. One weird thing is that my spit sometimes has occasionally been yellow and the middle of my tongue has the slightest hint of yellow in it but its on and off. Gross. I've also had a hard time adjusting to the little amount of sleep that is required. I don't feel like I've lost sleep though...just have nothing to do in the extra hours I'm not sleeping. So I'm gonna try to go 10 days.. and keep posting through that hopefully.. Happy fasting everyone!
