I definitely had problems with dizziness while the Mirena was in. My autoimmune attack became very severe last fall (I'm 5 months post) about a month before I started to suspect the IUD. When the attack became became severe, my worst symptoms were neurological: vertigo for a couple weeks, and then dizziness, feeling of being off-balance, tingling and numbness on right side of body, jerky and uncoordinated movements, extreme muscle weakness in my right upper arm. After removal, the symptoms would come and go, but I never had vertigo again. I felt quite good during my 3rd month post with very little dizziness, and now I'm feeling worse again. The dizziness is back, my arm is weak and uncoordinated again (after almost getting better), and my head is spacey. I felt like this during my 4th month post, and thought it was a 4 month crash, but my 5th month is going along the same way, which is depressing. I now have new, burning pains in my wrists. Actually, my right wrist did have tendonitis while the Mirena was in, but then it went away right after removal. Now it's back, and my left wrist is having it for the first time!!!
Don't know it this helps. I go through cycles of feeling positive and like I'm healing, and then the symptoms come back, and the fear of having a disease that will never go away haunts me. My mind and fears play such tricks on me.
