Regarding Christianity I like to use the source. In Matthew Chapter 24 Jesus tells of all sorts of dire events that are yet to come. Here is a wrap up of what he is saying:
Matthew 24:29 - 33 (NKJV) “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away."
Jesus returned more 2,000 years ago. It is what he said he would do, and he said he would do it in his generation. Why do so many people not believe him, yet say they believe in a literal interpretation to the bible? Ever hear of the Jewish Revolt of 66-70 AD? That's when the majority of his prophecy transpired.
He says a similar thing in the book of Mark:
Mark 9:1 (KJV) "And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power."
John the Baptist's message was the same as the message of Jesus and Jesus said the same thing regarding those who listened to John.
Jesus and the Kingdom of God/Heaven has been with us for at least 2,000 years. He showed it to us and he told us the path to find it for ourselves.
"Jesus has been, and is with His followers. He is with us every day leading us, teaching us, holding us, etc."
Jesus is with anyone - gentile, Jew, Muslim, Hindu, Pagan, anyone, he isn't exclusive. He proved that when he stopped to chat with a Christian killing Pharisee on the road to Damascus.
"But earth now is obviously not the place He is talking about when He said He is preparing a place for us, and He said He would return, come get us, and take us back with Him to that place He has prepared."
So once more, you don't believe what he said in Mark 9:1:
Mark 9:1 (KJV) "And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power."
He has fulfilled the preparations of the many mansions. He has taken many to where he is at - in fact he is here now, so he has fulfilled John 1-4. If you've read the teachings of Jesus - where did he say the "many mansions" were at?
"Because someone doesn't believe in your particular interpretation of the scripture does not mean they don't believe the words of Jesus."
Then you obviously don't believe in a literal interpretation of the bible. In fact, anyone who says they believe that way are just fooling themselves.
"I'm
not going to claim that I understand everything the scriptures say. I know I
don't.
But I believe scripture has to be interpreted with scripture, the clearer
scriptures to interpret the less clearer scriptures.
In doing that, I cannot come up with the interpretation you have come up with
about God's kingdom already being here.
Nor does that make any sense with what I see of this world."
"The
world" is not where Jesus taught that the kingdom of god is at.
"I also do not see how Paul's conversion proves that all people are with
Jesus. God changed Saul's name to Paul to show he was a new creation. Saul was
Jesus's enemy.
He did not love Jesus. Paul loved Jesus. Jesus was Paul's life."
It
doesn't prove that all people are with Jesus, it is just an outstanding example
that you don't have to be a "Christian" to have a chat with Jesus.
"What has believing the kingdom is already here done for you?"
It has changed my life and direction and provided me with rewards and experiences I never before thought were possible. It has also brought me loads of healing both spiritually and physically.
I'm not posting to change anyone's view. I'm only pointing out scriptures that if taken literally, would change the face of Christianity as we know it. Instead, the teachings have been convoluted and massaged so that they fit into a particular belief system - and it didn't happen just yesterday, it's been going since even before the creation of scriptures.
It is so interesting how "Christians" have to label everything they don't understand while at the same time they don't believe the teachings of Jesus. You think that I'm a "preterist" and you didn't even address the fact that Jesus said his prophecy would be fulfilled in his generation.
The NWO hoax is a creation of a segment of Christianity and they are the ones who are trying to create if for themselves. They predict a control of the entire world under their one-world religion and even they are confused about how it's going to happen. Judgment? It's simply an observation. I quote Jesus, and you quote a Christian killing, Roman, Pharisee who never even knew him while at the same time much of what he has supposedly written that became gospel are known fabrications.

The letters on which modern scholars are about evenly divided are:
An anonymous letter that nearly all modern scholars agree was probably not written by Paul is:
Thanks for not responding to the teachings of Jesus in Matthew 24.
"I'm
sorry if you thought no one else believed the way you do. It's a belief system
that not too many people know about. Are you offended as well with the label
"Christian"?
I did not address the topic because it is useless to do so.
You state: "Jesus is with anyone - gentile, Jew, Muslim, Hindu, Pagan,
anyone, he isn't exclusive."
I would rather you stay in the belief system you are now in than to discourage
you any further in telling you my beliefs.
I have seen too many christians with preterist views turn to atheism. That is
how dangerous to salvation I believe the view is."
I read the gospels and I believe the "red letter" teachings of Jesus. I'm a Christian and I know of no label that I wish to have applied to me. This is a Christianity (Biblical) Support #2 forum and I'm simply supporting the bible teachings of Jesus as I understand them. I rarely use any other parts of the bible to support my views though I do think there's some pretty good stuff in the rest of it. I don't think that Jesus in anyway restricts himself to his "followers" - in fact I think there are a great many Christians out there who have a label of some other religion that don't even know they are Christians.
Believing in and having an experience with God is my prime goal and Jesus said it too when asked a trick question by the Pharisees about which was the greatest commandment in the law he replied "The first one is to love the lord thy god with all they are heart and soul and the second one is like unto it (i.e. equal, same as, identical), to love thy neighbor as thyself, for this is the law and the prophets." The Law and the Prophets were the entire bible in Jesus' day and included more than what we now call the Old Testament. In that one quote of Jesus there are so many, many lessons and each one can get what they want from it, but I have mine. There are many people on the planet who follow that teaching, and it's not an easy path but it is sure rewarding.
I like the teachings of Jesus, I try to follow them, and I think that when we deny the millions of others who are trying to do the same thing we are failing to love our neighbors. It was Martin Luther King who said "There are many paths to the mountain top" and I believe that. No one has the final spiritual solution for anyone - except themselves. It's sometimes a difficult lesson and I'm still learning it myself.
In danger of turning to atheism? Nope. When one establishes a one on one communication with his/her god, it just won't happen.
"The mountain climb can be quite the struggle for people coming from all walks of life. We all create our own path to Christ...our own journey. Jesus welcomes us with open arms once we get to the top."
He's also helping zillions of us along the way, whether we know it or not.
