The differences in this version (considered by some to be the original ) are striking. Worth a look. The separation of god disappears in this translation. Heaven is a concept or state of mind, not a place to go after you die, etc, etc.

This is a reply to # 1,583,927Here is a snapshot of an interview that will be available for free on April 1st/2010. It will challenge your current model of Christianity but the texts have not gone through the editing process of what most Christians of today are reading as their Bible. This is a reply to # 1,583,988It not really about *appearing* anywhere. It is about the information being shared. This is a christian support topic. ;-) If you want to take issue with that, hit the mod button. Would be glad to explore this widely.
What you were doing in what you mentioned, was preaching to someone who did not want to be preached to about subject matter that was 180 degrees different from their mind set and completely unrelated to the subject matter of the forum you mentioned. It would be like coming in here and preaching about Satan. That would be inappropriate.
You are comparing apples to oranges.
However, with this particular *warm* welcome(christian love), I will leave you to be. It demonstrates again what I have seen over and over on this site.
I do hope people exploring all angles of Christianity *will* delve into the information offered. It was shared in a kind spirit. It was shared in a freeing spirit.

So, don't try to paint me as the bad guy here. This forum is for Christianity support. If you want to come here and support christianity, you are welcome here. If you come to support something totally opposite of christianity, I don't think you will be very welcome here. This is a reply to # 1,584,000Since when is an Aramaic bible and its interpretations not part of Christianity? It's the root of Christianity as opposed to the many translations that followed at the hands of special interests. The information is what it is. Perhaps what you are following is opposite of that root and why you are reacting as such.
It's just information I choose to share. One can choose to take it or leave it.
If anyone wants to 'debate" it I have shared it in that forum as well.. I think this information is or at least should be very important to those calling themselves Christians. It is an Arabaic translated version of the bible. Some scholars say it is the original version, not Greek. Jesus after all was Aramaic and not Greek. ;-)
Anyway I understand this is not a debate forum so if anyone chooses to debate this they know where to go.

Is Christianity about truth or is it about tradition?
I am not playing anything. I am sharing information concerning the original Bible translation which is what the foundation of Christianity should be based on. If you want to debate this, I would be glad to share lots of info about how the distortions surfaced. This is a reply to # 1,584,019Have you actually read the original bible or an original interpretation. He is just repeating that. Many christians repeat information from a bible translation that came way later than the original. Needless to say its been stepped on and distorted along the way.

Not What most christians think. This is pivotal because it changes the meaning of god as an entity into an overall "energy."
In other words, god is not a daddy entity.
Explore some of the other Aramaic scriptures and it is quite eye opening. Things begin to change dramatically from what most christians take for granted (getting their translations way further down the road).- Re: Yes refreshed

The Peshitta, lightly revised and with missing books added, is the standard Syriac Bible for churches in the Syriac tradition: the Syriac Orthodox Church, the Syrian Catholic Church, the Assyrian Church of the East, the Ancient Church of the East, the Indian Orthodox Church, the Chaldean Catholic Church, the Maronite Church, the Malankara Syrian Orthodox Church, the Mar Thoma Church, the Syro-Malabar Church and the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church. The Syrian Christians in India have mostly replaced Syriac with the Dravidian language, Malayalam.
