I find it very interesting that there are so many different christian denominations, all claiming they know the 'real truth' of the bible. All these different groups think they have the correct interpretation of 'the word of god'. They all have some commonalities though.

They all believe that if your not following their brand of bible/god/jesus, that you are going to hell/lost/name your punishment.

They all believe the bible is the 'word of god', but will not, or cannot, answer questions about the inconsistancies and incongruities, without using circular logic, or attacking the person asking the questions. All these groups perceive anyone who questions, or thinks differently, as a threat, to which they must defend themselves against.(victim conciousness)

All of these varying christian groups are based on fear and guilt. All these belief systems are limited, all are based on what they think god wants them to do, the thinking is always limited by the containment within the system of what 'god' says, wants, does. There is no thinking outside of the 'god box', so it is limited. Fear keeps people contained in the 'god box'.

If you strip away the surface differences, all these christian groups are basically the same.
