Great post Art,
You are right
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement isn't to be trifled with, and if you get any on your clothes or wipe up a spill, be sure to wash the article of clothing, or rags immediately. Dried NaClO2 solution will make fabrics and organics very flammable when it dries.
On one point however.....Sodium Chlorite Powder is ok too, why people say it has to be flakes escapes me, except that in large quantities like I deal with, flakes are safer.
I asked Jim Humble about this just about 2 weeks ago, via email, and told him who my manufacturer is and he said he has used used both types, and both types work.
The inert ingredients in some powders and flakes can vary.
Ideally you want low Na Chlorate, low Na Hydroxide, and low heavy metal count.
Unfortunately, without a C of A on a particular lot number, it's hard to tell as even a manufacturer can vary some from lot to lot.
I don't want to call brand names on the forum, but one of the leading Flake manufacturers in the US has crappy numbers in my opinion, and quite a few suppliers buy from them. There is also the issue of Chinese and Indian Chemicals in the market.
I sell powder made in Spain, it's good and it's clean, and so are some of the American Sources.
If you don't want to make your own, what I suggest you do is call the retailer. Talk to them, ask them questions, see what kind of feel you get from them.... do they know their product? Do they offer support. How do they make it? ASK
I sell powder and solution, in bulk and retail, and I supply quite a few other retailers.
My site is
http://sodium-chlorite-supplier.com
The project greenlife reseller listed above is a good supplier also. PGL makes a good quality product, so does A toZ/MMSDR,and mmssupplier.com in Canada. Just for the record, I don't supply 2 out of 3 of the other sites I mentioned, and I'm not affiliated with any of them, I just have heard good feedback.
