God(or whatever name one wants to give to the light)= the sum of all love
asked me personally if I had learned enough about love and the peace part was just an extension of the love... I believe anyone choosing Christianity as the path to love and peace should perhaps do the opposite...by using love and peace to find the tiny bits and pieces of it that are revealed within Christianity to add to that understanding. At the very least, if one's goal is to follow the guidelines of love and peace, I would say to approach Christianity with "EXTREME CAUTION," capitalized for emphasis... but forsaking caution, I would seek to critically examine the denominations of Christianity that emphasize peace and love and reject those that do not(most). That gets rid of most buildings carrying the label of Christianity with wolves as teachers. I would then take a very cautious approach to any other denomination as they may talk love and peace but then they drop a poison pill on you when you least expect it. These are dangerous places to send your children as they make one become easily seduced by propaganda. The music may be all love and peace but then the teachers subtly work in unlove and less than peace from their religious doctrines to support the teacher's distaste for certain types of people... Wolves in sheep's clothing are much less in your face but are hardest to detect and most dangerous to the unsuspecting.
The tiny amount of other churches that mostly teach peace and love should still be approached with caution as guest teachers may slip in and poison you and your dear ones... Run for your life and take your dear ones to the door to prevent these saboteurs from poisoning you and your dear ones. Everyone has a bad day though so if any religious teacher starts spouting a rare bit of unloving and unpeaceful rhetoric, don't let it sink in and if you can't get out of the building fast enough to keep those you love from the unlove, explain to your loved ones that the teacher does not share your views and explain why love and peace would be a better response. If one takes reasonable caution, Christianity and other religions can be beneficial to one's spiritual growth but it may take years of deprogramming if those precautions are not taken with extreme care. I think it is worth it over just letting television and movies determine our views but it is not for those who are too trusting of the motives of religious teachers.
I had to peel away years of religious propaganda, even after I returned, to learn more about peace and love. I think it is of note that one non-Christian I read said he thought highly of many of the words of Jesus in the Bible but he said the Christians are the ones doing most of the killing, selling or giving away guns and weapons to kill people so he was not impressed by Christianity. I personally believe Christianity has been co-opted by its own religious texts, which reveals the bipolar God in it is the most likely villain... over any devil in it... and the teachers of its religions are the most likely to kill someone for their religion from examples of unlove and warlike behavior of many of the followers in their own religious books. When we get locked into a belief and are forced to take it as a whole, we can easily get trapped into cutting our nose off to spite our face. Your notion of aligning with peace etc is a much better approach and bypasses all religions. We can also throw away labels as they become =meaningless. We no longer need to use terms like christian, muslim, etc because they just become tags of separation and juxtapose along with it a fragmentation of spirit into "us" being separate from "god."

"God is EVERYWHERE and EVERYTHING and EVERYONE!" - I told him, when he stopped me on the sidewalk in front of our house twenty years ago, when he was 8. His urgent question made me pause - and sweep the sky with my hand, turning in a circle. "There is no place where God is not - no space where God is not." And he GOT IT !!!!!

This is a reply to # 1,562,355A wonderful person said that we should seek to love the love in every person and I would add everything.... To me this is God who is love but everything(to me) is not love or God who is love.... I have watched hard things... shook my head at cruelty.... took my own licks too.... but if we can back out of the frame far enough.... we can see behind the curtains to the backstage where we are all the actors... and all is love at that point.... but down here in the trenches... it gets tough sometimes....
but to be as a child...full of hope... to peak from underneath the covers from the darkness to see the nightlight... and feel calm.... God is a type of familiarity that makes the night terrors go away... but more... when we pray to that something out there that we know loves us... that love will start whispering back to us... It is easy to do as a child/under our sheets... in the darkness... but it is much harder AFTER we ascribe all kinds of heinous acts of violence and unimaginable cruelty to that name God...

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,567,202I have cause to review that day often - wondering if I would have given the same answer to an adult. I believe that deep down in everyone is the fundamental concept of God, whether one has heard of God or not. And what a pure concept it must be for the as yet unfound people of the world - those with no axe to grind, no one to convince, no confusion, no question. I am sure that deep in a forest somewhere are folks untouched by census and worldly misery who could tell us a virgin truth about it all.

This is a reply to # 1,567,258I know as a child I prayed to a God who loved me but my religion painted a different story. I grew up with a belief that God loved me but that foundational truth was used by my religious leaders... who would add... but God hated [E]vil Muslims, Homosexuals, Communists, Catholics, Liberals, Atheists or even the only slightly less conservative Baptists because they did not believe one had to be baptized to be 'saved.' I even felt like I might go to hell if I did not agree with everything the teachers said. I had a sense that salvation was dependent on me believing everything they said... It was as if I had to be very careful or I would end up in 'eternal damnation.'My baptism at age 11 was a truly transformational experience for me and tended to re-enforce that the hate-mongering that was the forked tongued messages that my religious teachers were espousing was 'The Truth.'
I most certainly prayed to a loving God after my baptism but I didn't do much listening. Later spiritually trans-formative experiences gave me the ability to understand that there were two distinct voices that were both called "God" in my religion. One was God=Love and the other was a God of War. The more I communicated with God-love and heard that voice answer back the less that the God of War held any power over me... but even then it was not an overnight thing to eliminate that other voice from my life... It is as layers of an onion... Many decades later, I communicate frequently to the God=Love... and I can hardly sit for more than a few minutes listening to the double minded teachers who say that God is love out of one side of her mouth and hate out of the other.- Re: You know what you believe when..... seek2clean

This is a reply to # 1,568,852Many smelly onion layers later, I had recent conversation with an artist acquaintence - one who is fearful to believe in a loving God. "HIS stipulations are quite clear", he challenged when I suggested MERCY may prevail, and that LOVE is not war, hate, fear, guilt, shame, etc.
The talk ended badly as I left saying only, finally, simply - "YOU are all about the HELL-fire - GOD is not".
My childhood indoctrination is a work in progress - a process to shed one skinny piece at a time. I am glad I gave no more to my children than the generality of the truth that "God is everyone, and everywhere and ..... "
They have so much less to be confused by, to shed and to get over - free to choose.

This is a reply to # 1,569,593Yes, four less folks to muck up the world with fear and unthinking-ness. And to think there was a time I felt the usual guilt for "neglecting" to give my children some concrete religious upbringing. They thank me now, and so do their contemporaries who do not have to fear them - they are lovers, not fighters, not abusers, not controllers, not on automatic pilot with a mouth full of bible and a thieves heart.
So in the end the best thing I did as a parent was what I did not do, and as a family HEART is our greatest part.
And I have a bump or two, but am infinitely freer as I move forward - with a recent (yesterday) relocation from an address of several years - gladly facing the unknown and planning to "CREATE the Masterpiece" as has been suggested. Thanks again for that directive.....

This is a reply to # 1,569,693I think there are too many individials who live in enternal anger and have not tried to or had not a chance to know the power of deepening inside themselves and stimulating the love that understands from within. they rebel right away at something they don't understand and want to learn. They want just to hold in their psycho-equilibrium, in control. they hold their bad energy for the mind in order not to know because they feel they cannot do better. they want a bad spirit and life so that they will not feel the bad circumstand. they have to see others too badly hurt before their doomed insensitive heart can feel a transient consolation or a little change of the bad energy - perhaps they would laught so relieved suddenly. Many would like to see the end of the world becauce they are lonely and not helped at all and in to big pain.
I think we have to catch these types first by giving some insight of bad situations with love behind that and this is the same case happened to us in order to have had the insight first of all. You want to have from no where love first then the power of understanding and the darkness will be overcome: that is why we need light because there is darkness in us. But the poor people get too depressed by sorrow or just by little mention of anything God, true love, kindness, etc. I have my mother like that colored by so many years of poverty, cruelty and hard struggling for family hold. but It is never good to give a reason for being in bad energy and state of life. She hates my mentioning a word of God just while explaining something very illuminating. we don't want too much evil first before the heart might change into love. it will be too painful to change then...if it not too late. then the hell comes.- Re: You know what you believe when..... seek2clean

I have seen the evil repeatedly, been touched by its brutal hands - by every means it tried to slay me, but more importantly tried to sway me to become what I despise. To no avail I say with a righteous pride, after returning from hell's refinery - still alive!
Still unwilling to retaliate, no need for an eye's eye - not when all injustice takes itself down its own slip'n slide ..... and choice is like a muscle - becomes stronger with loving exercise.

This is a reply to # 1,570,829Thank you for asking but first I love it to have it from your own as it is your journey of your soul to the source of infinate life and love. Nerver defend on other's to tell or force you what is love because this is in you already - you have just simply to because aware of it. All I can do is refer and exite to it. One needs his true love, the source, not indication and direction to it: there are too many result of that source of life and one cannot love from this results alone wanting them so much. You must have it as well and help others indeed to have it.
To be free is to be born again to the love to life like a baby smiling without need to know why. What harm is there in it? Now, compare adults' grown usual smile - it is a laughter. It is a victory on others losing. it is our damn system of a growth that in reality it does not tolerate the truth of being aware of the very life - the baby smile on you. we tolerate the meanless present life for the sake of the future but this is the projection and extension of our hate into it to come back incarnate into values of things and possesions. Hah...the devil in prison, in hell because no God.
what is vital? what comes before the mind does not come after the knowing mind unless you are born again - that is the truth to God's creation, true love, the baby's smile, adult's joy. But after the knowing mind it is men's inventions for defense, controls and tricks for the future - that is done out of destruction and hate. Men's mind's construction is a compensation for their natural distruction, called bloodly revolusion or evolusion,(and your Laughter), great; thus, it happens to your energy and spirit that does not know of the present existance. You are afraid of it so you look inside what you have done, gain. You are wise man...hah..hah, a laughter. Men choose to be aware of what is their doing or of the possibilities to such possesion for unhappy, unshareble, and lonely spirit so that the ememy, their hate would be held, and not jumb at each other, in its source harmlessly to the outside world. they have introduced evil tragedy then the bussle about for the evil gain and hopeless justice; they want econimy. Do any one possess to accomedate all of us so we can live as well? They do the opposite to live. What we have in common to share? We need to be born again to smile, rejoice the flow of the water that satisfy the thirst eternally as Jesus mentioned to the woman. We don't want the future.
Every one's soul is forced to depend on these men in order to have and live; yet, they have nothing, not even the baby smile (Jesus said you have to be like this to go to heaven: a child again) but the future - the failed history, hate and the unsustainable reality - to be corrected by ever more gain and possesion and to survive in it. Do you know what is going to happen? God, the present being does not exist so it is also detestable - that is you and hate to be aware of it... well think of the future and you are brighter more then the sun. But not not for he who stays outside! What love is that for all as truly meant before God, the mind, the one?
Jesus said "this is not my world because the self is robbed from love to life (before the evil judgement of hypocrites or famous actors on him); repressed from being born to each one of us. To be born again is like a baby that smiles - in us innecently. All this is not God not even men's loving. To be born again is to be creative to God, to feel love to life and all that comes before the knowing mind and the laughter. Now, watch out, not to know and feel the truth is a defense against harm to more harm. It is like fear, that one would die hungry, murdered, lonely, Godless but fear brings these around, incornated as he tries to defend against them - the evil spirit forces and invents the evil into the things of one's lie of a protection. you must be in front by being born again then you will understand this darkness, by the love from God to live; you must not be afraid because that is darkness of what you have to see at present. Men identify to this spirit, fear, defense and the effects comes: who we are we don't know and don't want to know... too coward and confused to know. Where is true love that protects you and lives joyfully and harmless?
BUT THIS WAS NOT BEFBORE YOUR MIND FROM WHERE IT COMES TO YOUR CREATION - YOU HAVE INVENTED IT: EVIL FIRST THEN DEFENSE. INDEED, THERE ARE SECRETS, CONSPIRACIES, MOTIVATIONS.
HOW MUCH IS LEFT TO SMILE AND TRULY LIVE.

Look around you and you see ugly and you thank God for not being aware of it so you become silence. What has made you exited and aware and loving? Is it that God you prayed to be ignorant and how long we can stand this God? Is it until he kills us and you blame God. Do you know God, now, who is he? Look around you and you will see him - with no fear but awareness and true love. you act, react, aware, and being but something is missing - that love that enable to see the God of life and beauty and feel joy. what would happen to your silence? Would it not crop up where you look and live at your dear home? That is God! You don't see him in the god of ignorance. Please wake up. Let the love in you from God see the truth without which we all lead to a suicidal condition. it is already, there are too many sickness. don's say that is not personal to me. I don't care.When you love truly you love all then your mind will rest with God.
my poor mother is sick now, damn all the bad junk food that the good society provides for the poor peeple - white bread,sugar...Do you love somebody and do not care? Oh.. I forgot my poor unkle who died of diabitis, a stroke. And you, do you have someone?

This is a reply to # 1,559,759Beautifully said, I have come to exactly the same conclusions through a rigorous study of the Bible, and the history of the church, also the horrible Palestinian Isreali conflict, which serves as a terrible indictment against the Abrahamic religions. I am enjoying these discussions.
