Hello people,
Yesterday morning I gave myself a mild concussion by hitting the back of my head (about 1 1/2
inches behind my ear) on a pipe. Due to my poor peripheral vision (caused by my illness) I didn't see the pipe.
I'm still dealing with the effects today. A little memory loss, some sentences coming out scrambled, feelings of unreality/altered conciousness, pressure in my head on the impact site, fatigue, etc.
Yesterday the effects were worse and I also had some problems I have not really experienced today, like vertigo.
I don't think I caused a heavier brain inujury, as I didn't have seizures, unconconciousness, or uneven pupils.
I believe I've had at least one more concussion in my life, but the effects took several months for them to go away. I'm sure there is something I can do, in addition to rest, to speed up the healing process.
I can give a more detailed account of what happened if requested.
Any suggestions or advice?
