I don't know if this will work for anyone else, but it certainly has cured me of shoulder/rotator cuff pain. My wife is a believer because of how it took away my very nasty shoulder pain, so she is trying it also. In a short time, it has greatly improved the nerve pain that's in my wife's shoulder, that also runs down her arm into the back of her hand.
I couldn't reach my arms in either direction, either across my body, or out to the side without mind-numbing pain. It would freeze me, and I would have to wait about 20-30 seconds for the pain to subside. I also couldn't lift my 10 pound hand weights, and I was really limited, and so was my wife.
I figured that, if I could build up the muscles in my shoulders, I could reduce or eliminate my shoulder pain. There had to be a way to build up the muscles in my shoulders, without pain. I also suffer from Heart Failure. So, I had to find a way to build up my muscles without causing further damage to my heart, and without killing me.
I can now do push-ups, weight lifts and curls, and I have total shoulder and arm movement and flexibility without any discomfort at all. Plus..... I am close to 70 years old!
Here is what I did:
Mind you, I am bent forward at the waist, facing down
My wife started with 2 1/2 pound weights and has experienced a remarkable improvement in her arm function and a lessening of her nerve pain.
We had to start small and then very gradually increase weights, exercise and movement.
I'm glad that you found a solution that works for your problem. As someone that has done yoga for a couple of years I can tell you that there are exercises that you can do that will help the shoulder and upper arm as well. I was really surprised when I first started doing the shoulder exercises to find out that they provided some great relief for a little bit of pain I had in my hands as well. You might want to try a few yoga exercises some time too, if you get the chance.
