[[[The Book says one thing only we are responsible for all our actions]]]
Hand on heart, does one need a book to act responsibly?
As pointed out by Ginab4u:-
The Book is the WORD of God but:-
The Bible is riddled with contradictions
Christianity is based on fear
Christianity preys on the innocent
Christianity is based on dishonesty
Christianity is extremely egocentric
Christianity breeds arrogance, a chosen-people mentality
Christianity breeds authoritarianism
Christianity is cruel
Christianity is anti-intellectual, anti-scientific
Christianity has a morbid, unhealthy preoccupation with sex
Christianity produces sexual misery
Christianity has an exceedingly narrow, legalistic view of morality
Christianity encourages acceptance of real evils while focusing on imaginary evils
Christianity depreciates the natural world
Christianity models hierarchical, authoritarian organization
Christianity sanctions slavery
Christianity is misogynistic
Christianity is homophobic
The Bible is not a reliable guide to Christ's teachings
The Bible is NOT entire as "Books" have been left out to suit it's religious factions.
Now if they are GODS words then man has repudiated what God has said, for is Gods WORD not "The Truth"?
So NO we do not burn the Bible, we keep it for future reference to show future generations why there was not peace on this Earth whilst this book and others reigned supreme.
Yes I agree that man is responsible for his actions grassman but we're taking about preachers of the Bible, men that we take upon trust. Men that have knelt before God to stand before their congregation in the church preaching the "WORD".
Well really, that word "hypocrisy" comes to mind once again doesn't it?
Of course we cannot tie every cleric to the same brush but remember that what has raised it's ugly head is from only ONE diocese in ONE city, what the hell is going on?
These people work in the community, marriage, death, christenings etc, etc,.
How much longer will people tolerate this hypocrisy?
The church is infested by hypocrites, fornicators, downright abusers of common decency and ultimately God himself.
Now someone explain to me and others that one can be blasphemous and yet carry out Gods works?
Do we as believers actually need the church and what it offers or do we have to find solace within ourselves spiritually.
I feel that we have no option because religion is apartheid, it's a political expediency for wars that kill innocent bystanders, abuse it's followers etc. etc.
Who'd want to be a Christian with that on ones conscience?
We build Cathedrals, Churches, Temples etc. in the light of which man has turned into Houses of Sin.
If God is within each of us then there is no place for man's deception.
