I can't be sure of it being giardia, as far as the symptoms go it does seem to match the specifics but then most ameobic infections seem to cause the same symptoms anyway. At times it seemed to worsen after eating fatty foods around a time when I was having problems with excess bile being produced, and of course giardia love bile. though perhaps the other amoebas have a similar requirement for it.
What concerns me is that the mebendazole didn't do the trick, yes its not the front line of attack for giardia, but some studies show it to be just as effective.
I did have a peculiar thing happen, in an attempt to get around the sleepy full like problems I took 5-htp, this is a protein that converts into serotonin. Thats the neuro-hormone that keeps us awake (melotinon being the one for sleep). I took too much of this 5-htp and ended up with an excess of serotonin that gave me a temporary hypersensitive sinus pain. the pain would worsen after taking anything that would kill the
parasite and cause die off. Was in awful pain after taking the mebendazole for a while, but also carrots and pumkin seeds, so clearly the alternative stuff can kill it, but perhaps its a bit too weak. Herbs haven't given any noticeable improvement thus far, though the s.boulardi seems to suppress it quite well.
Again s boulardi pointed me towards giardia as studies show it has anti-giardial action, but again might be the same for any protozoa.
Lineup, can you be sure that your drugs from magic pharma were ligit? I ordered two different parsitic drugs from there and one of them seemed to cause no effect at all, when the dose I took should have really knocked me about. And the other seemed pills seemed to have a very suspect filler in them.
I also bought similar drugs from medsmex, that rather reassuring cost a more sensible amount but only time will tell how they turn out as they have yet to arrive.
Its not at all surprising that a place like magic pharma would be selling fake drugs, even if they were a 100% honest company they would be prime target for the producers of fake drugs.
Fortunately flagyl can be got easily in the form of 'fish zole' so I'll have atleast one drug to hit it with, would be nice to combine the flagyl with mebendazole but apparently there is serious risk of fatal drug reactions from mixing the two.
On a lighter note, today I was granted an interview at Cambridge university, I think that's the British equivalent of America's Harvard
