Thanks Uny.
Went off my protocol yesterday 'sorry to hear that and suffered, still am, badly. 'sorry to hear that as well. Had a couple of drinks in the evening and a few hours later felt terrible ill. (me = loss for words...I doubt right now you need a lecture about the silliness of stressing/overworking one's congested liver while in the midst of cleansing it because you're already feeling horrible. So just insert "Uny Lecture #1878907382.01.b.03 here...it's the one about attempting engine maintenance while putting a brick on the accelerator :::grin:::) Of course, this could be entirely unrelated, but methinks it's connected somehow. My legs were shaking uncontrollably on and off for several hours and extreme nausea, very light headed (been feeling this for a week). Contemplated going to emergency all night long. This morning still feel nauseous. Had a small BM which smelt very bilish. 'Sounds like your liver is very congested/compromised...and nothing bodily is more toxic than stale/old bile & liver debris. Be sure to keep those bm's happening.
I did go to emergency four weeks ago with the smae syptoms, shaking legs, nausea, dizzy. The em doctor thought he could see water in my inner ear which would account for the dizziness and nausea.
Had two cups of liver tea this morning but after only 2 hours sleep feel rough. Any ideas/advice? More info please and questions (off the top of my head ideas/suggestions below) :
--what did you do (if anything) about the water in the inner ear? Any known reason to have fluid there? (recent ear infections? other?)
============
Didn't do anything as the extreme dizzines only lasted from 5am till released from hospital. Have been feeling a little light headed for a week or two.
=================
--is the dizziness a recent onset? or something you've been dealing with awhile?
========
Two weeks, more light headed than dizzy
==========
--have you been doing coffee enemas daily? what are you hearing via stethoscope when you do the CE's? What are you seeing when you expel them? are you expelling all the solution?
============
Stopped CE four days ago, lot going on. Did one yesterday afternoon before the horrible night. Seem to expel everything, not much bile sludge. But have noticed bile in my regular BM's, at the end of the BM
=====================
--did you try cayenne tincture for any of the symptoms? (I'm thinking it might help with the shaking; depending upon the cause, it might eliminate it completely)...if so, what results? (I don't suggest using the powder when nausea is an issue).
==========
No didn't think of Cayenne, couldn't think of anything much.
=======
--Recap (please) your 'daily protocol' at this time.
=======
F#1, Liver tinc, parasite tincture, prostate tinc, moslty raw, juices. Last three days, having a cup of tea and a cup of coffee (sorry).Have lost a lot of weight, stomach now concave instead of slightly convex, or is it visa versa?
==================
anything that seems to be a trigger for any of this?
=================
Can't think of a trigger except falling off the wagon. But can't remember what I was doing 4 weeks ago when I had the first 'episode'.
=================
--describe 'legs shaking uncontrollably' -- -what part of legs? -with feet on floor AND off the floor? standing/sitting/reclining? shaking = slight tremor? shaking = spasms/cramps? shaking = legs "jerking"? able to stand/walk when legs are shaking?
========
Lying down, shaking, all the way up to my waist, hard to stop, Hot then cold. Urinating every ten minutes, very thirsty, dry mouth. No temp.Lasts a couple of hours.
===========
--are you withdrawing from anything?
==========
No drugs or pharma.
==========
--what do you & your doctor within think the cause might be? do you feel overly "toxic" (typical when we start stirring things up in the liver, particularly with flukes or heavy congestion).
=====================
I think it is my liver. I have had pain under ribs that has actually felt better in the last two weeks, hence the coffee etc. Less fluke bits and pieces, now just small pieces. Only done one flush , three weeks ago, which produced 20 'stones'. I must be toxic. I also have CFS and when I initially fell ill, I felt terrible, bit like this, nausea, weight loss, thumping heart, etc etc.went on for months.
=====================
--are ensuring 3 bms daily? (this is essential when cleansing/decongesting the liver).
yes
Thoughts -
--I see (another post/forum) you also had coffee - this could increase digestive disturbance, and it's possible (but not likely) caffeine (ingested or enema) could cause a slight shakiness in the legs (normally it'd take a heckuvalot of caffeine to do that...and with a properly prepared/expelled CE there's rarely any problem with caffeine).
==========
I don't think it is a caffeine thing. It was weird, First feeling sick and then after half an hour start to shake. Would go on for half an hour and then stop. Half an hour later start again.
============
--the strongest "anti nausea" on the planet (other than cannabis) is ginger root. I keep a jar of ginger root juice in the freezer for ease of use. If you have ginger root, simply slice off a few pieces and add it to your Liver tea (or make a strong tea of it separately), or chew on the root, or crystallized ginger, or, or, or...just get some ginger root in you (if you haven't tried that already).
--The B&B tincture/garlic oil is generally going to be the solution for inner ear issues (infections, dizziness, etc). That's 4-6 drops of garlic oil followed by 4-6 drops of garlic oil nightly for 6 nights, rinse (with bulb syringe 1/2 water 1/2 acv on 7th night; repeat as needed). Gingko biloba is also fantastic for dizziness/vertigo.
--If you've recently stopped daily CE's, starting them would likely be a very good idea.
--If you're feeling "toxic", I highly suggest an activated charcoal poultice over the liver (for at least a few hours daily, if not all night) - alternating these with castor oil packs is VERY "liver helpful" and particularly detoxifying...the activated charcoal poultice acts as a 'second liver' - which gives your liver wonderful relief: http://healingtools.tripod.com/char2.html
=======
can I use F#2 as a poltice?
============
--one of the quickest ways to solve 'swimmers ear' (water in the inner ear/infection) is with a droppers of 50/50 distilled white vinegar & rubbing alcohol (I've heard of using straight rubbing alcohol). This helps evaporate the water and kill infection. H202 in the ear is also fantastic for infections (but might add to 'water in the ear', if that does happen to be the issue).
--remember, the Liver/Detox/Digestion tea has very little actual effect on the liver; it's main action is to soothe the digestive tract while everything is "bumpy & rocky" during liver cleansing.
--Liver flukes are bad enough, but dead/rotting flukes in the liver can cause all variety of symptoms...so if you've done anything that will kill them, but aren't doing daily CE's or anything to 'flush them out', the ammonia they release can play havoc along with added congestion (activated charcoal poultice or internally would help a LOT in this situation.
Rocky's getting home in the next couple of hours (and we've got lots of orders to get out for tomorrow), but I'll do my best to respond as soon as you reply.
Blessings,
Uny
Replies received :) the only question I see is if you can use IF#2 for the poultice. The previous link regarding the activated charcoal poultice, here: http://healingtools.tripod.com/char2.html) has the instructions for making an activated charcoal poultice, and includes the instructions: >>>NOTE: Dr. Richard Schulze's Intestinal Formula #2 can be used instead to make an even BETTER Poultice!<<<
So yes, you can use IF#2 as the poultice base instead of the ground flax seeds (but you do have to use the activated charcoal, too...you cannot just use the IF#2 by itself as poultice - it would have very little effect)...just follow the instructions in the link above.
-----
Your current protocol/thoughts:
--No IF#2 ??? (the bentonite & activated charcoal in the IF#2 are VERY effective for adsorbing toxins - both in the digestive tract and pulling them from the bloodstream). :::grin::: Everything goes better with IF#2 :)
--Your liver does not need to be dealing with any amount of alcohol now, so it would be beneficial add a splash of boiling water to all your tincture doses (which will evaporate the greatest majority of the alcohol).
--Be sure to drink plenty of pure water.
--If still having the Liver/Digestion tea, don't forget to add extra ginger root (assuming the ginger is beneficial, which it should be)
Questions:
--What results (if any) have you had/seen with the cayenne & the shaking?
--What results (if any) have you had/seen with the ginger root?
--What results (if any) from a castor oil pack on the liver?
--How have things changed in the last few days overall
--It seems that perhaps your starting of the 5 day liver cleanse (followed by the regular flush - which you mention was 3 weeks ago), would have been right around the "4 week mark" that this all started...and it's certainly not usual for all manner of seemingly unrelated symptom to start cropping up when we first start unclogging the liver (especially when there are known liver flukes). Parasites can create high levels of ammonia (both while living & decomposing)...so plenty of bentonite/charcoal to adsorb the ammonia, as well as continuing with the CE's and other liver supporting modalities seems imperative to me at this point.
Let me know how it's going, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
Hang in there! You WILL feel much better when you're on the other side of all this.
Blessings,
Uny
Greetings -
Before we go into the big "aha possibility", I'd like to quickly address the following (and a couple-three other smaller issues): >>>Did a castor oil pack today and for the last three days done CE's. Not getting any bilary sludge just a few small bits of flukes. Where's the sludge? I miss it! Discomfort in liver area, not really pain. <<<
(NOTE: these next few paragraphs are not directed "at" you, whitebeach...this information is meant "for" everyone - so folks can learn & better understand how to utilize me/this forum for their greatest benefit).
Liver flukes are typically "marquise shaped" parasites that are flat on the backside and slighty domed on their topside - they attach to the biliary ducts throughout the liver at their top (head/mouth) and their tails hang down into the biliary ducts (apparently, sometimes they become so large they become shaped like the biliary duct itself). Somehow the bile makes channels through this "myriad of hanging tails & bodies"...BUT when we start killing parasites, the flukes die...and when they do, their entire body falls into the biliary channel - clogging & blocking the biliary network and the flow of bile. So your question should actually be a statement...YES, if you're seeing small bits of liver flukes (that have been killed and have fallen completely into the biliary "tubes"), then YES, you will almost always have less flow of bile.
When we flush "into parasites" (alive or dead), we cause stale/thick bile, biliary sludge and various 'stones' & liver debris to into these tails & bodies...AND we are likely pushing all the 'liver crud' through biliary tubing that is already extremely narrowed by a build-up of old debris & bile. It takes many people (especially those that haven't done good/solid liver "prep work" and loosening of this build-up) several flushes to get out ANY stones or debris from the liver with a full flush (and that's without parasites!). When it comes to flushing & cleansing the liver (especially in folks that are already symptomic, older than a teenager, or know they have flukes)...I cannot emphasize the importance of "consistency" and "aggressiveness" enough.

Sharing, posting and asking for assistance...on this, and other forums (particularly simultaneously) --- As many of you know, I do my best when a new poster posts, to check their past posts on other forums...to find all variety of things they may have forgotten to mention (that may be integral); to find out if they're using supplements or drugs that may be causing their current symptoms; and in general, to gain any clue I can to help them put together a healing protocol that will be safe & effective for them. As you can guess, finding the time to do this once is a 'stretch'... and finding time to do it throughout a posters history once they come to this forum is pretty much impossible. I have absolutely NO problem (in any way, shape or form!) with anybody gathering information from various sources & forums/posters on CZ (there's no such thing as too much information!!!). On the other hand (over the past months since I opened the forum), I've seen that MANY times when this happens, posters are describing and explaining OTHER symptoms they are dealing with (or herbs, supplements, drugs they are taking), that they've never even mentioned here. And many times it turns out that they are "mixing protocols", or using the herbs with other supplements/drugs that could cause enormous problems (or a lack of efficacy with the protocol/advise given on this forum). YIKES! (and YIKES AGAIN!).

Dr. Schulze & Dr. Christopher's empirical evidence is clear - there is NEVER a need to ingest or apply a substance that is unnatural or toxic to the natural body in order to heal the natural body. (There are those that would say that juice is "unnatural", as are herbal tinctures & teas :::sigh::: Yes, there are a very few herbs that don't have every alkaloid & phytochemical extracted by water & alcohol...yet these substances are not "foreign" to our bodies). Powdered non-organic herbs are altered by pesticides/herbicides, by being 'burnt' in the grinding process, and by a loss of essential oils. Those that are irradiated may have vastly altered chemical constiuents, as well as containing URPs. (yes, imported herbs & produce not labeled organic are routinely sprayed with pesticides and/or irradiated at the border...and 90-95% of the herbs on our market ARE imported).
· Irradiation damages food by breaking up molecules and creating free radicals. The free radicals kill some bacteria, but they also bounce around in the food, damage vitamins and enzymes, and combine with existing chemicals (like pesticides) in the food to form new chemicals, called unique radiolytic products (URPs).
http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1389818
(Dangers of Irradiated Foods - link above)
SO, we do the best we can to "keep it as natural as possible" on this forum...and phosphoric acid & Coke (laden with GM corn syrup that is laden with mercury, and other chemicals) definitely does NOT fit the bill!

And lastly (but certainly NOT leastly :) - it appears that (thanks to Willowley, who is not only a wonderful woman AND moderator, but also deserves angels wings & a halo ), that we may have indeed found the AHA! that is at the root of your issues for the last 4 weeks...and it was found in this past post of yours 9/21/09: http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1494326#i
Never took Amitriptyline (Elavil) but have been taking valium 2.5-5mg at night to help with sleep. (stopped a week ago)
..which means you stopped taking Valium around 9/14 - which is EXACTLY "on schedule" for the presentation of the symptoms you report starting 4 weeks ago!
How can that be? Well, firstly, Valium has a half-life of up to 200 hours! (remember: half-life does not equal "active life" which is the time one feels it working, or it's working when one can feel/sense it or not). The half-life of a drug is the amount of time it takes one's liver/kidneys to reduce the blood level of the substance (strength, etc) to 50%...so the more compromised the liver, the longer the half-life. That means that one can stop taking the drug one day, and not have it completely out of their bloodstream for weeks! (The withdrawal symptoms don't start "in full" until the drug is completely out of the bloodstream, but any reduction in a benzodiazepine can cause all manner of reactions). In case of a 200 hour half-life possibility (which is 8.3 days) - it would be possible to not have any of the most intense withdrawal effects for 2-3 weeks after stopping taking it. My mother was on Klonopin (another benzo) that has up to an 80 hour half-life...she didn't get hit with the full symptomology of the withdrawal effects until nearly two weeks after her last dose.
With benzodiazepines (valium was the first benzo marketed)...the two substance that exacerbate withdrawal symptoms are: caffeine & alcohol!
Typical Symptoms of Withdrawal from benzodiazepines: http://www.benzo.org.uk/
(to get to the page from which this list was taken, click on the FAQ on the homepage link above). Also, be sure to check out the other symptoms lists found on the left-side list, clicking on the word "symptoms" - I've pasted one full list at the end of this post (rapid weight loss is typical, as are MANY of the symptoms you've reported).
This list is broken down into psychological and physical symptoms. The double asterisk (**) indicates symptoms that occur to some degree or another, at one time or another, in virtually every person experiencing benzodiazepine withdrawal. Single asterisk (*) are symptoms that are common, and occur in most people. Others are symptoms that are common enough to be verifiable withdrawal symptoms, but probably occur in a minority of cases.
Psychological symptoms: anxiety** (including panic attacks), depression**, insomnia*, derealisation/depersonalisation* (feelings of unreality/detachment from self), obsessive negative thoughts*, (particularly of a violent and/or sexual nature) rapid mood changes* (especially including outbursts of anger or rage), phobias* (especially agoraphobia and fear of insanity), dysphoria* (loss of capacity to enjoy life; possibility a combination of depression, anxiety, and derealisation/depersonalisation), impairment of cognitive functioning*, suicidal thoughts*, nightmares, hallucinations, psychosis, pill cravings. Note that it is far more common to fear psychosis than it is to actually experience it.
Physical Symptoms: abnormal sensitivity to sensory stimuli* (such as loud noise or bright light), muscle tension/pain**, joint pain*, tinnitus*, headaches*, shaking/tremors*, blurred vision* (and other complications related to the eyes), itchy skin* (including formication, ie sensations of insects crawling on skin), gastrointestinal discomfort*, electric shock sensations*, paraesthesiae* (numbness and pins and needles, especially in extremities), fatigue*, weakness in the extremities* (particularly the legs), feelings of inner vibrations* (especially in the torso), sweating, fluctuations in body temperature, difficulty in swallowing, loss of appetite, "flu like" symptoms, fasciculations (muscle twitching), metallic taste in mouth, nausea, extreme thirst (including dry mouth and increased frequency of urination), sexual dysfunction (or occasional increase in libido), heart palpitations, dizziness, vertigo, breathlessness.
Here, I have cited only the most commonly reported withdrawal symptoms. For more comprehensive lists of withdrawal symptoms see the Symptoms Index on this site.
whitebeach, I have no idea how "benzo aware" you are (nor do I know how long you took Valium before you stopped taking it, or how you stopped taking it...cold turkey? gradual withdrawal? how gradual?)...but one can become fully and insidiously addicted in as little as 4 weeks of usage. Even with short-term use (less than 4 weeks), the symptoms you report are VERY possible...particularly in someone that is already compromised.
It is my belief (due to personal experience with my mother, and the resulting research I've done) that this class of drugs is likely THE most insidious ever created & marketed. The thousands of people that have signed this petition for "full disclosure" agree.
Please scan through this past post to find a myriad of links and information regarding benzodiazepines: http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=805621#i
...and then get back to me, and let me know how long you'd been taking valium and how you went about getting off it - and we'll take it from there.
Healthiest of blessings!!!

Hi Uny,
Today I finally feel slightly better. Been a rough week.
The shaking only ever lasted an hour or two when I had extreme nausea, the last time was after dinner, hot and cold flushes, palpitations etc but this was after the day of booze and coffee!! Feel nausea more after eating.
Last few days just weak feeling, light headed. No energy.
Have lost at least 8 lbs in the last couple of weeks. Haven't weighed this (159lbs) since i was very ill with CFS in 1990.
Did a castor oil pack today and for the last three days done CE's. Not getting any bilary sludge just a few small bits of flukes. Where's the sludge? I miss it! Discomfort in liver area, not really pain. Low grade nausea up until this afternoon.
Did the 5 day cleanse 4 weeks ago, had the first nausea/shaking episode ten days later. Another one 5 days ago.
Not received your herbs yet and have run out of tinctures, grrrrrrr.
Warmest and thanks
Whitebeach

LOL Whitebeach. I like that, investigator Willowinthewinds! I'll take it.
I know how it is because the first time I posted I thought I told Uny my whole medical history, which wasn't much thank God but I DID forget about having my tonsils out when I was a teenager. When you've lived for 50 years lol its hard to remember every little thing when we tell someone else, especially when we're worried about something thats gone wrong in our bodies.
Your symptoms sounded extreme for them to be caused ONLY by the liver flush. So, I went on a search to see if maybe you forgot something and whatdaya know, I did find something that contributed to the cause of your symptoms.
Uny is the one who does all the research and finds out all the side affects and how long something can be in our system. When we take something and hours go by and we don't feel it working anymore we assume its out of our system but the fact is its not. Thank God for Uny's dedication to helping us to learn more about our bodies and the herbs we can use to heal them. Her unending patience with us in the process of learning takes a special kind of human being to be sure lol.
Willow
You're very welcome, I'm glad I was able to help.
Yes, it is always better to know what you're dealing with, it sure beats flying blind. I'm thinking it was also exacerbated by the drinks, we all have to learn so you can think of this as a learning experience and know what not to do next time.
I'm just sorry you're hurting so bad but I know you'll be strong if it goes on for awhile, benzos are horrible. I hope you're feeling better soon.
Love and peace right backatya!
Willow
