You are right,I was wondering if my doc may have diagnosed me wrong (or I may have both) because even though I am being treated for acid reflux I still have pains in the stomach sometimes and I know that the medication I was taking "Protonix" is very food for acid reflux. I used to get stomach infections long ago, and my stomach is very sensitive. I think I will look into that again because I have been having stomach pains again and I thought I may have an infection because I ate some bad chicken 2 week ago and I still have stomach aches. And protonix,and Nexium are 2 of the best for acid reflux so I know it's something more. Cause even when you have gastritus taking colon cleanse and things like that irritates it more sometimes. I've been eating stuff like pancakes,fuit,veggies and noodles, and potato french fries. I have an appointment next week with the doc, thanks you for printing this info. This could be what's been going on with me all these years. I'm taking nursing courses so I have a lot to learn.
IMMAGTR;
I totally agree with you because when i had so many test done to see about my situation, I've had many upper and lower GI test and all they showed was Acid relux/gastritis, this is also one of the diseases in the leaky Gut family, but in the forum I posted about Flatulence/Fecal smell it mentions that gastritis also carried a fecal smell and why. So while taking your meds for gastritis you may want to follow some steps there so you can work on your gut flora. I'm still taking my meds but I'm also taking things like digestive enzymes (bromelian but there are more) and probotics to work on my stomach along with an antifungal, God bless.
