imagine what youre exposed to every day where you live! and surely you must have some history of makeup wearing. it wouldnt surprise me if it wasnt reducing from the acids and toxins on and in the skin.

My wife has been through several major surgeries and one of the things we do after is work on healing and to minimize scarring.

Vitamin E and cocoa butter are two things that have been excellent. Once the site has sealed, like within two or three days, we start in on it.

Since we have been doing iodine, we have added that to the topical application. Have only had one surgery since we started with iodine, and it was for a fixator which made holes and not lines, we can't really get a measure of how Iodine worked. But I know it will work exceedingly well based on what we've experienced in other areas.

Because we work very hard at minimizing scars, Iodine led me to trying some things. Something that seems to be a nice combination is painting iodine, then applying jojoba oil. On the face especially. I have no Science to go with it, but is seems to have the similar action as "sealing in" that a plastic wrap might have. All this circled back to what I sensed may be happening when using things like E oil and cocoa butter, that they slowed the regeneration of invasions, like surgical points. It totally a coffee table theory, but it seemed that slowing the process down allowed skin to regenerate more evenly. That this may have had as much influence on the site as whatever properties may be contained in E and cocoa butter, and whatever else.

Two additional things that are in the mix are Colloidal Silver topically, and a handheld utrasound device that is purported to help with skin, arthritis, etc. Years ago when I was tearing my tendons, ligaments, cartilage apart, a physical therapist used one and it helped almost immediately, so it does seem to have some 'action', but again, have not had a surgery to work with it on in the last year. We're kinda gearing up tho for two, possibly three major ones tho, and may sadly have a chance to try some of these newer ideas. Not the least being iodine.

Also became really interested in Wombat's creams and formulas so started trying a few offshoots there. Very fortunately, we have not had a major surgery to 'test' it on for a bit, but when the next one occurs, we will be armed with new ideas.

I'd look at painting with Iodine on one's face, and then rubbing in jojoba oil, or perhaps vit e and cocoa butter. That combo, specifically jojoba oil, has worked really well.
