Apathy reigns supreme.
Tell me this anyone: if you are about to witness a potential case of self-harm or suicide, what would you do?
Stand idly by and just let it happen? or attempt to save that person from themselves?
This is akin to observing someone threatening to throw themselves off a bridge or the parapet of a skyscraper. Best if we just leave thenm alone and the problem (sorry inconvenience) may just go away, as it it will most likely interfere with our own lives.
If anyone wishes to self-harm or commit suicide then let it be so, in the full knowledge that it will most likely happen unless we actually do something about it.
Sorry, I forgot, we were born with free will to do as we please and damn the consequences.
This goes against the grain of humanitarianism and/or altruism or any religious belief.
Think on and deeply: we are observers of a situation that could be rectified, and where a potential loss of life/permanent damage thru starvation, can be averted.
Hello to all you altruists and do-gooder curezoners: where are your ethics and morals when they are needed the most?
